Since the reform and opening up,China's international status has been rising along with the growing strength of China's national strength.At the same time,China faces many challenges in the process of going out.For example,the "China threat theory" and "sharp strength",etc.,are constantly filled with international diplomatic discourse.For China,the present era is an era of opportunities and challenges.China wants the world to know itself better,and it needs to "tell the Chinese story" as President Xi jinping has said.In his report,Xi jinping stressed that "promoting international communication capacity building,telling the story of China,showing the true,three-dimensional and comprehensive China,and improving the soft power of national culture." Therefore,China is not only to let the world know China,should let the world know China more,form on the right cognition of China,as a Chinese,promote the understanding of their own is the foundation of the good's own story,correctly understanding themselves,strengthen our nation,the nation's cultural identity.As one of the important sources for students to perceive China and understand China,primary school Chinese textbooks play an important role in shaping and disseminating the image of China.So what kind of China does the primary language textbooks present to the students? In what ways,in what manner? What is the purpose of this? These problems are also the concerns of this research.In order to solve these questions,this paper draws on Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis of three-dimensional framework,from the perspective of critical discourse analysis about these problems.This article hope to draw lessons from methods and theory of critical discourse analysis,presents the image of China in the primary school Chinese textbook analysis,to explore the textbooks are how to construct China's image,and reveal the social significance behind it.This paper,taking the tenth set of primary school Chinese textbooks as an example,discusses the perspectives and aspects to construct the image of China and how to construct the image of China.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction part introduces the origin,research question,research idea,research significance and literature review of this paper.The first chapter summarizes the relevant research literature on the national image in the textbook,and summarizes three different research perspectives.The second chapte mainly introduces the origin and development of critical discourse analysis,critical discourse analysis "basic concepts such as" critical "term" discourse "and the more common approach to the study of critical discourse analysis,which focuses on interpretation of Norman Fairclough's text centered origin and the research methods of critical discourse analysis method.Fairclough's theory provides the guidance of perspective and method for the research of this paper,and then puts forward the analytical framework of this research.The third chapter of China's national image in the textbook discourse analysis part from the text level,level of discourse practice,social practice level,probes into the textbook of China national image construction,production and dissemination,and the power relations behind the image.The fourth chapter elaborates the characteristics of Chinese national image in textbooks.Primary school Chinese textbooks to the students shows a profound civilization with image,indomitable image of revolution in modern China,the positive enterprising modern contemporary China's image,responsible big country image and aspire to the image of China in the world peace,sincere friendship,the construction of these images revealed a solid and strategic and tendentious characteristics.The fifth chapter puts forward the construction of China's national image in the textbook discourse system of vision,on the basis of the construction of discourse system,discourse system elements,as well as Suggestions for the development of discourse system of the construction of the three aspects has carried on the simple discussion.
