Sustainable Livelihood Framework-based Research On The Strategic Exploration Of Social Workers' Intervention In Self-help Economic Organizations

"National Rural Revitalization Strategic Plan(2018-2022)" has put forward new requirements for rural revitalization.However,from the existing research,in the past rural construction,especially in terms of the intervention of social worker in livelihood,there are certain limitations,and it is difficult to achieve sustainability.With the advancement of social work in the vast underdeveloped areas,social work institutions and social workers are constantly exploring how to better intervene into the livelihood issues of poor villages.Rural self-help organizations,which the article research may be an important means to intervene.This article selects a livelihood group in Guangzhou M village as a case study.Based on Department for International Development's Sustainable Livelihoods Framework(SLF),the author adopted case study research and participatory observation methods to participate in the community life of M village and the daily work of the Yuba Group,including group production,group meetings,etc.,and adopted unstructured interviews to collect data,and found important information and key nodes contained in data through retrospecting major events,and the group's assets are motivated to adjust the livelihood strategy again and again.The vulnerability context of group has repeatedly hindered the development process,which revealed the relationship between livelihood capital and the vulnerability background and livelihood strategies.During the period,social workers also constantly switched between the roles of educator,enabler,and supporter,and applied the concepts of "dominant perspective","asset-based","capacity building" and other relevant elements of the sustainable livelihood framework,to better promote the growth of members and the group as a whole.Based on this,this article attempts to sort out and summarize the feasibility strategies for social workers to participate in such livelihood groups,including establishing trust relationships,providing external windows,increasing livelihood capital,guiding give back to the community,focusing on the vulnerability background,promoting group consensus,and focusing on the sustainability of processes and outputs etc.There is also an important premise,that is,institutions and social workers establish a deep trust relationship with the community,strengthen the support of social networks within the community,create a good community atmosphere,and respect and guide the people in the community to exercise subjectivity.
