| In recent years,aging problem is serious in China.In this case,China's "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" proposes to establish a mode: staying at home,relying on the community service for senior citizens,and adding personal care institution as an option,However,with the development of society and the transformation of views toward retirement,the function of traditional family care for elder family members has gradually weakened,and personal care home for old people has played an important role and has become a popular choice for old people in China.Comparing with the traditional care model for the aged,personal care institutions has the advantages of unified management and professionalism,but it will inevitably lead to the risk of losing family bond between the elderly and young.At the same time,with the growth of the elderly,various physiological functions are relatively weakened,such as the occurrence of various chronic diseases,hearing loss,slow movement and slow thinking,etc.When the old people come to the closed home environment,their roles change,their social circles change,and their living habits change.It is easy to produce negative emotions and behaviors,making it difficult for the elderly to integrate into the personal care institution.This study takes the situation of personal care institutions B(Anonymous name)in Chongqing as the research subject,takes social work as a professional perspective,and used a psycho-social treatment model to study how casework can improve theelders ' social integration into the elderly in the personal care institution.In the psycho-social treatment model,the goal is to enhance people's self-adaptability and the systematic function of "person in the situation".It includes reducing the anxiety,the imbalance of the system function of "person in the situation" and enhancing the people's self-realization and self-satisfaction,improving the case owner's environment,and reconstructing the people's social support network.to promote the overall growth and development of the individual.The research subjects come from the recommendation of the staff in B care institution,using the methods of case study,interview and observation,and through interviews with the client and the people closed to him,combined with the relevant personal data collected to have a clear understanding of the basic problems of the client :the death of his spouse,illness and in adaptability to the new living environment led to the client's social and mental problems in life,which includes unaccustomed diet and living environment,inner resistance to recreational activities and lack of attention to physical health,fear of disease,grief of bereavement.The client is easy to be nervous,sensitive,lost temper,complain,produce negative weariness,etc.In terms of social relations,there is less contact between relatives and friends,not getting along well with the elderly in the B care institutions,and so on,which leads to the weakness of the social support network of the client.After determining the problem of the client,researcher began to receive the case,established a good professional relationship with the client,and paid attention to the conversation skills of acceptance,listening,empathy and encouragement by means of direct and indirect treatment to help the client recovered from mental problems.And help the client to improve self-evaluation and rebuild confidence from life.After the closure of this case,the service goal was basically completed,and the client paid attention to his own health,got rid of bad habits,reduced the generation of negative emotions,paid attention to the positive side of life and rebuilt the social support network.The usage of psycho-social treatment model has a certain effect on solving the problem of the client.This study explores the application of psycho-social treatment models in casework practice,hoping to improve the quality of social work services,help moreelderly people in personal care institutions,provide more effective service models for elderly social work in China. |
