Nowadays,students feel it difficult to understand the works of Lu Xun.Teachers from the front line have tries plenty of ways to get out of trouble,but the dilemma could not be broken if they don't make great adjustment in teaching content.Taking Hometown as an example,the author intends to explore the possibility and feasibility of new ways to make the teaching content keep pace with the times,teaching material content and the current teaching content and provide a new train of thought when we try to improve the teaching of Lu Xun's works in middle school.The thesis is composed of four chapters.Chapter one: The author collects 17 teaching cases(Teaching designs and teaching recording)from the authentic classroom instruction since 2003,analyzes the selection of teaching content of Hometown in actual teaching.Although there are some subtle changes in selecting teaching contents,most of the teachers' understanding of the works is stereotypical and blunt.Accordingly,as a whole,it goes far away from the new version textbook and is not fit for the teaching situation at this very moment.Chapter two: The author organized the explanation from theexpert since the new period.Since the new period,the explanation to Hometown from the academic field focuses much more on the text itself,the academic field changes their attention from the external evaluation on social value according to the time discourse into the understanding of the literariness and thought of the text.Many creative achievements obtained in the study of the theme,characters and artistic personality of Hometown,which provides an academic guidance of teaching content improvement.Chapter three: From the diachronic point of view,this chapter discusses the compilation of the seven editions of junior middle school Chinese textbooks since the new period.With the development of time,the teaching material absorbs into many research fruits from academic field,the explanation to Hometown is gradually come up to diversity,and it embodies the feature of paying much attention on the reading experience of students.The improvement of the textbook content of Hometown is the basis of selecting teaching content.Chapter four: Combining the conclusion from the above three chapters,the author raises some suggestions on updating the teaching content of Hometown.First,we should understand the complex feeling of the main character to Hometown.Second,weneed to comprehend the image of the main character,focus on the different relationship between “Me” and other characters in different time.Third,we should pay attention to the literary form,feeling the lyricism and elegance of prose and lead students to feel the enrichment of literary forms.
