Case Work Practice Of Grief Counseling For Widowed Elderly People In Urban Areas

Under the influence of population aging and urbanization,the number of widowed elderly in cities is increasing,and the accompanying problems are also increasing.The death of a spouse will undoubtedly hit the lives of the elderly tremendously,and the loss of a companion is an inevitable event.It is difficult for the bereaved to return to normal life through self-regulation in a short time.If this situation lasts too long,it will not only have a negative impact on the health of the bereaved,but also afflict the bereaved’s psychology,isolate their personality gradually,break away from normal social interaction,and confuse the future.In such circumstances,mourners of mental and physical depression urgently need the intervention of social workers.The widowed elderly belong to the disadvantaged group in the elderly population,and they are also the group that the society and the government pay more attention to.Compared with developed countries,the old-age pension system for widowed elderly in China is relatively weak,and the related community services and pension facilities are not perfect enough.This paper studies the problem that urban widowed elderly people can not get out of the sad period.It studies the problem of widowed elderly people through case work method.It intervenes in the problem of widowed elderly people from a micro perspective.Through in-depth interviews with widowed elderly people,it observes a series of sad reactions of widowed elderly people and obtains first-hand materials from the actual situation.Through these information,the author analyzed the problems and causes of the widowed elderly,and guided by crisis intervention theory and social support theory,helped the widowed elderly to get out of the sad plight and solve practical problems,summarized specific practices and practical experience,designed targeted solutions,and realized the close combination of theory and reality.In order to provide research data and data for solving the related problems of widowed elderly,the author hopes to establish a scientific and professional case study program of widowed elderly grief counseling,help widowed elderly successfully get rid of grief predicament,promote social work to better serve the widowed elderly group and help them out of the predicament,this would help improve social work practice in the field of widowed elderly grief counseling experience.
