With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,history curriculum in middle school has proposed that "history curriculum's reform should be conducive to the innovation of teachers' teaching methods and students' learning methods(revised in 2019),which requires teachers should build up a student-centered teaching concept,guide students to actively learn history,and change the learning mode of students' passive acceptance of knowledge." Therefore,mind map as a new teaching method comes into being under this background.Mind map is a visual tool that pays attention to the "central theme" and spreads around the central theme,and can activate memory and stimulate brain to open up thinking through images,words,colors,shapes and keywords.In addition,it is used to expand students' thinking,and promote students' ability of thinking in multiple perspectives.Moreover,students can also have a study through it.Generally speaking,it'not only a teaching method to assist teachers' history teaching,but also a learning tool to cultivate students' learning.The paper consists of three parts: in the first part,the necessity of using mind map in history teaching is expounded from its connotation,characteristics,is theory basis and advantages.The second part mainly provides application strategies for teachers students.Based on the five common logical basis of using mind map in history subject proposed by Mr.Luo Peisheng,which course type is more suitable for using is further analyzed,so as to better promote mind map's use in history teaching.In addition,specific requirements for students' use of mind map are provided,and problems and principles that should be paid attention to in drawing are summarized through the historical mind map drawn by students.In the last part,concrete operation and effect analysis of mind map are presented to apply it into history class in the form of practical utilize.Next,existing problems in using mind map in history teaching in middle school are known through interview,the existing problems are analyzed,and relevant suggestions are proposed,so as to make the mind map better serve the history teaching.
