The Mind Map is a kind of visual tool relying on radioactive thinking which is used by Tony Buzan,a famous memory master,in 1960 s.It is not only an effective tool for memory,but also a tool for expanding thinking.The Mind Map coordinates about brain function,and transfers the logical thinking which includes vocabulary,reading,digital,reasoning,analysis of the left brain and the imaginative thinking,including rhythm,spatial awareness,image,emotion etc.of the right brain.It reveals the process figuratively with images,lines and colors.The Mind Map is the process of forming process using radioactive thinking,forming result is the result of thought.It puts a section of text into a dull as ditch water colorful picture.It can attract the students' eyes,arouse their interest,and make the students find out the difficulties clearly.It is conducive to the mastery of knowledge,and exercise their ability of thinking and guide them to use the brain thinking positively.Since the establishment of People's Republic of China,Our country has made unremitting exploration in the basic education curriculum reform,the curriculum reform of basic education has been carried out eight times up to now.The new round of basic education curriculum reform analyses the disadvantages and problems of basic education,putting forward clearly: change the course of too much emphasis on imparting knowledge instead of emphasizing the formation of active learning attitude,the process of acquiring knowledge and skills become learning how to think and forming correct values,emphasizing the function of curriculum from a simple focus on imparting knowledge to reflect and guide students to learn to study,learn to live and learn to be.Be that as it may,some teacher's teaching ideas and means is still not updated,they always take the traditional way as flood irrigation in the class.The teachers are the leader,students are merely supposed to recite.In this way,it doesn't meet the current requirements of China's education reform.It's not conducive to students' positive thinking,using their brain,cultivating their own sense of innovation and it is not contribute to play the initiative of students,they can't be the master of their own learning.History subject involves more extensive content,consisting of Chinese history and World history,which involves the political,economic,cultural,military and other aspects of knowledge.The knowledge points are more complex and large span.However,the current history textbooks are based on unit,they are short of logic but they have strong jump.It is difficult for students to study history.According to the survey of the author:some students have mastered the knowledge points but they don't know how to use them in the exam so that the scores don't have been improvement.Others students are not sensitive to the history years,which is very effect to answer the questions.The Mind Map can help students clarify their thinking.It has a great significance of students' memory.But in the current the practice of middle school history teaching,the application of the mind map is very narrow,only a small part of teachers use the mind map for students to summarize the key words of some chapters or sections.The article consists of five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the research and application status of mind map at home and abroad.The second chapter mainly reads the concept which is related to the mind map,including the basic of theoretical and the difference between mind map and concept map,and summarizes the application scope and status of the mind map in China(especially Shandong Province).The third chapter does a experiment about the effect of the mind map to middle school students' history learning,in order to explain the necessity and significance of the integration of mind map into history teaching;Nextly according the result of experiment,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of mind map.Finally,I take the Shandong Province collage entrance examination as examples to further illustrate the necessity and importance of using mind map,as well as give some suggestions about how to expand the scope of application.
