In 2012,the State issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Rural Compulsory Education Teachers",and the professional development of rural teachers has become the focus of educational researchers.The quality of teachers is related to the quality of education.In order to comprehensively improve the quality of basic education in China,it is necessary to accelerate the construction of the teaching staff and enhance the professional development level of teachers.Based on the interview method and questionnaire method,and based on the analysis of relevant literature,this study made a comprehensive survey on the professional development status of rural primary school teachers in Yantai.Found out the causes of the problems,reviewed the causes,and put forward specific and operable solutions.After field research,it is found that there are many problems in the process of professional development of rural primary school teachers in Yantai,such as the lack of professional development goals and plans,the low enthusiasm to participate in the training,the low degree of attention paid by the school to the professional development of teachers,and the weak supervision of the government and relevant education departments.Based on the analysis of the problems existing in the professional development of rural primary school teachers in Yantai,the author finds that the main reasons that hinder the professional development of rural primary school teachers in Yantai include the following three aspects: first,the awareness of professional development of rural primary school teachers in Yantai is weak,and the awareness of scientific research and reflective ability is poor;second,the school training system is unreasonable,the evaluation system is not perfect,and no positive measures have been taken to lead the professional development of teachers;third,the uneven distribution ofteachers' resources,the imperfect related security system and the separation of pre-service training and post-service training are common.Combined with the relevant theories of teachers' professional development,this study has initially proposed strategies for improving the professional development of rural primary school teachers in Yantai.First,teachers should change their professional development concepts and actively improve their reflective and scientific research abilities.Second,schools should reform the teacher training system,improve the teacher evaluation system,and reasonably guide the professional development of teachers;Finally,the government and relevant education departments should rationally allocate teachers' resources,establish and improve the relevant security systems,and strengthen the integration of pre-service training and post-service training.
