With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,the group cooperative learning teaching model has attracted more and more attention from educators.This new teaching model has great effects on teachers' guidance of students' active learning and development of students' collective and team awareness.The front-line teacher,as prompters and leaders of the group cooperative learning teaching mode,have played a vital role in the development and application of this new teaching method.Only front-line teacher can provide students a new learning experience by using this teaching method flexibly and clearly.However,practically,due to the immature development of the group cooperative learning teaching mode,the finding shows that there are still many problems in front-line teaching,such as disordered classroom,low student participation,insufficient attention by teachers,and poor effects of group cooperative learning etc..In order to analyze reasons and put forward proposals of developing and improving the effectiveness of group cooperation teaching,the author conducted a long-term questionnaire survey and observing class,then wrote the paper.This paper is divided into six sections.The first section is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and significance of this study,and clarifies the research purpose,method and technical route.The second section is the theoretical study,which mainly analyzes the relationship between the geography class in junior middle school and group cooperative learning,and provides theoretical basis for this study.The third section is the process of practice investigation.Basing on questionnaire and class observations,Grade 7 geography group cooperative teaching model in a junior middle school has been studied by the author,analyzes the current situation of the group cooperative learning model in junior middle school in geography teaching,and points out the existing problems.This mainly includes four aspects:first of all,teachers and students have insufficient understanding of group cooperative learning;second,the process of using group cooperative learning methods is not scientific;third,the effect of group cooperative learning is not ideal;fourth,it is difficult to meet the diverse needs of students in group cooperation.The fourth section,in view of above issues,the paper explores the implementation methods of the group cooperative learning model and proposed solutions:1.divide cooperative learning group properly;2.flexible and scientific curriculum design;3.attention to the training of section representative;4.scientific selection of the content of cooperative learning group;5.establish a comprehensive evaluation system.The fifth section,a teaching case of geography group cooperation in junior middle school is designed.Through comparison of teaching effects,the author's perspective is further verified,and the method which is proposed by the author is evaluated and modified.The sixth section shows the conclusion of the study and existing deficiency,and prospects the development of the group cooperation teaching mode of geography teaching in junior middle school.The innovation of this paper includes:first,under the new curriculum reform background,this study propose its own opinion on group learning theory,which has certain reference value for subsequent research;second,the study contributes a practical reference for geography teachers in junior middle school to use group cooperative teaching methods,which is instructive and practical.
