Mathematics is a science that studies Numbers and shapes,and plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating people's logical thinking and image thinking."shape"refers to figures and geometry.The "graphics and geometry" part of primary school mathematics is transformed from "space and graphics" in the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard(experimental edition),which is one of the four parts of the curriculum content in the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard(2011 edition).The study of graphics and geometry plays a role in developing students'spatial concept,reasoning ability and further mathematical learning.However,due to the and not intuitive geometry knowledge,this part of the content is difficult for teachers to teach and difficult for students to grasp the difficult points.On the basis of the previous research,this study focuses on the following two questions:first,with the coming of a new round of curriculum reform,students are studying the current situation of "graphics and geometry" on the basis of the previous curriculum reform,which part of the four parts they learn best,and what are the deficiencies in the learning of geometry.Second,through the study of "figures and geometry",in the development of spatial concepts.According to the conclusion of the investigation,some suggestions are put forward to provide reference for the future teaching.This thesis consists of six parts.The first part explains the background,research significance,thought and method of the problem.The second part is the literature review.firstly,some key words are explained.secondly,the research situation at home and abroad is sorted out.The third part is the research design part,which introduces the research objectives,research objects and research tools.The fourth part of the questionnaire and test results are analyzed and summarized the conclusion after investigation and analysis has under points:1.The investigation results of the learning situation of "graphics and geometry" in grade 6 of Xiangyang city primary school show that students' learning of "graphics and geometry" still needs to be strengthened,and the learning situation of "graphics and position" is the best,and they still need to be strengthened in drawing specification.2.The overall development level of spatial concept needs to be further improved.3.There was no significant difference between male and female students in the "graphics and geometry" section of grade 6.4.According to the results of the questionnaire survey,it is found that students do not like the learning of "graphics and geometry" very much,and their interest in learning the geometry part needs to be improved,and their learning habits of "graphics and geometry" part also need to be cultivated.The fifth part,through the analysis of the survey results,puts forward some suggestions to improve the learning of "figure and geometry" and the development of spatial concept in primary schools.The sixth part summarizes,reflects and anticipates the thesis.
