Study On The Ideal Age Of White-collar Female First Marriage And Its Influential Factors

The age of first marriage is an important indicator reflecting the marital status of the population.It is the actual age of the individual's marriage caused by the combination of economic,educational and conceptual factors.The willingness to marry at the first marriage is the time or age expectation of choosing a spouse and marriage.It reflects the individual's understanding and conception of mate selection and marriage behavior under the dual role of internal factors and external factors,which is the planning and choice of future behavior.Domestic research on the age of first marriage began in the 1980s.In the course of continuous in-depth research and development,the change of women's first marriage age has attracted more scholars' attention.Studying the age of first marriage for women has positive social significance for many aspects of women's individual marriage,family and the overall development of women's groups.With the development of social economy and the construction of socialist cause,although the average age of first marriage of China's population has regional and gender differences,the overall trend is on the rise.The average age of first marriage is postponed and the trend of late marriage is significant.This social phenomenon has once again caused a craze for people's willingness to marry at first marriage.This paper uses questionnaires to collect the willingness of white-collar women to work in Shanghai,and uses SPSS.23 software to process and analyze the 266 valid sample data collected.Firstly,the general characteristics and distribution of variables are described by descriptive statistics,and the status quo of white-collar women's first-marriage age is analyzed from the four levels of personal and family characteristics,economic status,marriage concept and occupational factors.Then,the multivariate linear regression model is used to further investigate the degree of influence of personal characteristics,occupational factors and parental marriage concept on the individual's first marriage age.The results of the study showed that factors such as age,marital status,education level,residence pattern,time in Shanghai,rank and personal career development had a significant impact on the white-collar women's early-marriage willingness to be investigated.And these factors are concentrated in both personal characteristics and occupational factors.Through the investigation of the willingness to work for white-collar women in Shanghai,this paper can understand the current wedding willingness of white-collar women and what specific factors will affect their will and behavior.This provides a reference for studying the changes in the age of first marriage,guiding the first marriage,and formulating the relevant national population policy.
