| Mathematics curriculum standards for general high schools(2017)emphasizes "improving students' core quality and learning to express the world in the language of mathematics ".Students should master the skills of thinking and expressing mathematical problems mathematically.In order to have a clear understanding of math expression ability of senior high school students in ethnic areas,the study is intended to give corresponding reply to the current situation,problems and countermeasures of high school students' mathematical expression ability by the self-compiled questionnaire and test paper as research tools.It provides some reference for teachers in the front line to help students improve their ability of mathematical expression.The methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,classroom observation,text analysis and comparative analysis were adopted.By interviewing students and teachers about their understanding of mathematical expression ability,sorting out the relevant data of investigation and research,constructing the mathematical expression teaching model according to the problems,and conducting an empirical study on education in the third year of senior high school.The following conclusions are drawn.According to the survey and interview of students,it can be seen that:(1)Most students can realize the importance of mathematical expression,but the situation of mathematical classroom communication is not optimistic;(2)There are different reasons for students' difficulty in understanding mathematical language,such as insufficient ability in language conversion,organization and expression,and insufficient ability in understanding mathematical reading;(3)Students' confusion of mathematical knowledge points,weak operational ability,lengthy expression process,inconcisely expressed,incomplete content of expression,and irregular writing hinder the development of mathematical expression ability;(4)Students from different schools and regions have differences in mathematical expression ability;(5)There is no significant difference in the mathematical expression ability of students of different genders;(6)except for the students of Miao nationality,the difference of mathematical expression ability of students of different nationalities is not obvious;(7)The mathematical expression ability of students in different grades is not significantly different between the two adjacent grades,and there is a significant difference between the third grade and the first grade;(8)The test results of mathematicalexpression ability of high school students in ethnic minority areas are significantly positively correlated with their usual mathematical performance.Through the survey of teachers,interviews and classroom teaching observation:(1)Most teachers are aware of the importance of students' mathematical expression ability.During the training process,the class hours are limited and students' mathematical expression cannot be taken into consideration.Moreover,there is no systematic teaching method to cultivate students' mathematical expression ability,so the guidance is not strong.(2)Teachers' demonstration in class is not strong,the emphasis on mathematical expression teaching is not enough,the attention to students' expression is less,the lack of necessary classroom communication;(3)In class,most students have obvious differences in accuracy of expression,and their expression is concise,but their overall expression is not rigorous enough.According to the survey result,the author through constructing mathematical expression ability teaching mode,and teaching according to the empirical research,the study found that: students mathematics study significantly increased,the underachiever got more attention and the quality of mathematics teaching was improved.Therefore,teachers should "make use of the clues to inspire students thinking and communication","pay attention to teaching math writing activities in the organization and implementation","pay attention to the cultivation of students mathematical expression and accumulate experience in mathematical expression". |
