Biology teaching in junior high school is an indispensable activity for implementing quality-oriented education,and it is also the basis for cultivating students with core accomplishment in biology and scientific research-oriented talents needed by the future society.At the present stage,to achieve a well-off society in an all-round way,the work in the field of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" is the key work to win the fight against poverty,education is the key to fundamentally solve the rural problems,and the biology teaching in middle schools is closely related to rural life,is also the key to comprehensively improve the quality of the population.Bobai county in guangxi is a large county with a large population of ethnic minorities,including 31 ethnic minorities and relatively backward regions in economic development.This study investigated and analyzed the current situation of biology teaching among 541 junior middle school students and 9 biology teachers from five junior middle schools in bobai county,guangxi,namely,sanyu no.1 junior middle school,wangmao town no.1 junior middle school,wangmao town no.2 junior middle school,wendi town no.1 junior middle school and lingjiao town no.1 junior middle school.Questionnaire survey was conducted on teachers and students,and face-to-face informal interview was conducted on biology teachers,etc.Excel and SPSS were used for data statistics and analysis.This research mainly investigates the construction of teaching staff,teaching concept,teaching resources,teaching conditions and teaching evaluation.Through face-to-face interview and questionnaire,the following results:(1)by investigating the township middle school basic popularization of multimedia teaching equipment,with a basic biology experiment instrument and biological teaching equipment,but most schools have no separate experiment laboratory and administrators,experiment of the opening rate is low,biological teaching equipment utilization rate is low;(2)most of the students love biology and show great interest in biological experiments,but they have poor learning initiative and enthusiasm and do not develop good learning habits;(3)there are deviations in the teaching concepts of biology in the junior middle schools of the investigated towns and villages,and biology is not taken seriously.(4)the number of junior high school biology teachers in the surveyed towns and villages is short,and the proportion of non-professional biology teachers is large.The overall professional quality of biology teachers is not high,and the teaching methods are simple.According to current situation of the above,the recommendations of this study was:(1)to improve the management system of teachers,strengthen the cultivation of non-professional biology teacher(2)the use of local flora and fauna species more biological resources,mobilize students' learning initiative(3)improve the teaching evaluation system,increase the rate of biological experiment teaching course and experiment equipment usage.Through the investigation and research on the current situation of biology teaching in the township middle schools of bobai county,guangxi,the practical problems in biology teaching in the township middle schools in this area are deeply understood.By analyzing the problems,this paper helps the schools and teachers in this region to understand the students' current biology literacy level,and further explores the feasibility analysis countermeasures for improving the current situation of biology teaching in this region.Accumulate more investigation and research result for biology teaching research in this area;To provide the theoretical basis of biology teaching for the middle schools and teachers in this area;To make a contribution to the balanced development of biology teaching and the improvement of the overall level in the area.
