Under the initiative of the new geography curriculum standard,the "Problem-Based Teaching" is widely concerned by geography educators,and is more and more applied to geography teaching in senior high school.As an effective teaching methods,the "Problem-Based Teaching" regarding "problem" as clues,starting by a problem situation,developing students' geographical core qualities by solving problems,is beneficial to promote efficient teaching and in-depth teaching.The main research content of this paper focus on the types and strategies of Problem-Based Teaching,the teaching mode and application of the Problem-Based Teaching in senior high school,trying to provide some useful references for geography teaching in high school.This paper consists of 6 chapters.According to the fundamental task of education,the requirements of the new curriculum reform and the disadvantages of traditional teaching,chapter 1,expounds the research background of Problem-Based Teaching,the research process,the present status at home and abroad,and determines the research direction.Chapter 2 describes the principles and methods.By defining problems and Problem-Based Teaching,it discusses the types of problems,the features,the educational functions and the theoretical basis of Problem-Based Teaching,It also tries to put forward the evaluation system and evaluation model of Problem-Based Teaching.Chapter 3 expounds the relationship between Problem-Based Teaching and geography teaching in high school,the problem classification of geography in high school,the teaching models of Problem-Based Teaching in high school geography,which include the thematic teaching,the project-based teaching model and the unit teaching,the key factors and strategies of Problem-Based Teaching in high school geography.Chapter 4 discusses the current existing problems and improvement measures of Problem-Based Teaching in high school geography,and tries to promote effective teaching.Chapter 5 discusses the application of Problem-Based Teaching in high school geography based on the case of "industrial transfer" and "development in the rainforest".This chapter studies three high quality cases from the aspects of problem description,teaching model selection,teaching process design and teaching evalua tion.Chapter 6 summarizes the conclusions and shortcomings of this study,and expects the future application of Problem-Based Teaching in high school geography.
