China has a vast territory and different economic cultures in different regions.The imbalance of educational resources is a major educational difficulty in China's education.Small-scale rural schools are located in remote mountainous areas and are known as "The nerve endings of education”.They are the most difficult part of education reform.Therefore,it is imperative to improve the quality of education in small-scale rural schools.Information technology has promoted the rapid development of all kinds of fields,and it has also solved the educational problems one after another.This includes making a great contribution to improve the quality of education in small-scale rural schools in remote areas.However,while reform and development are in progress,are there still shortcomings in the current process of promoting the quality of education in small-scale rural schools with information technology?The H District of Hubei Province relies on Collaborative Innovation Center of Informatization and Balanced Development in Basic Education Central China Normal University to launch a quality improvement project for small-scale rural schools and online schools.The end of the first phase of the project announced the feasibility of applying information technology to solve the problem of small-scale rural school education.It is no doubt a qualitative change for small-scale rural schools to enable small-scale rural schools to gradually implement the curriculum stipulated by the Ministry of Education,and to establish a good and stable link between urban education and rural education,high-quality education and weak education.The smooth progress of the first phase of the project laid a good foundation for the implementation of the second phase of the project.The second phase of the project further strengthened the gradually powerful "Nerve Terminals" on the basis of the first phase of the project.This study summarizes and analyzes the current status of domestic and foreign research on the improvement of rural small-scale school education quality by grasping and analyzing a large number of related literatures and materials,and grasps the true status of China's informatization to promote rural small-scale school education quality.Based on the relevant more mature questionnaires,we designed questionnaires and interview outlines for schools,teachers,and students,and conducted in-depth investigations in rural small-scale schools in District H.10 elementary schools,44 teachers and 353 students were randomly selected for investigation and research,and a total of 407 valid questionnaires were collected.According to the questionnaires and interviews,the effect of the network quality improvement project of small-scale schools in rural area H of Hubei Province is summarized,and the existing problems are analyzed to find corresponding improvement strategies.The results of the study show that the application of information technology has enabled rural small-scale schools to futher develop and stipulate the curricula prescribed by the Ministry of Education.In terms of the overall development of students,the application of information technology has promoted the development of experimental school students' academic,learning attitude and communicative ability.In the professional development of teachers,information technology has played an indispensable role in the professional development of teachers in experimental schools.This study once again affirmed the positive role of information technology in improving the quality of education in rural small-scale schools.However,in the process of promoting rural education informatization,there are still some problems that need to be solved.This study combined with the actual situation of the experimental area to formulate measures that are tailored to local conditions and are practical and feasible,and seek suggestions for future reference to improve the quality of education.
