The" Curriculum Standard of Biology for Senior High School(2017 Edition)" requires teachers to put the development of students' core literacy in an important position,pay attention to the inspiration and guidance of students in the teaching process,and promote the development of students' thinking.It is a unique way of thinking for science courses that the"Quadruple Representation" guide students to understand the subject knowledge through the four levels of macro micro symbol curve.This study combines the "Quadruple Representation" with some lessons in senior high school biology,combined with related research methods,to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the application of the"Quadruple Representation" thinking mode in senior high school biology teaching,and provide teaching reference for front-line teachers.Through literature review,this study combs the research status of "Quadruple Representation" at home and abroad,and grasps the existing research status of "Quadruple Representation".Literature review shows that "Quadruple Representation" is Professor Qian Yang Yi's supplementary expansion of "Three Representations" in foreign countries.At present,the research on "Quadruple Representation" focuses on the meaning,connotation and teaching practice in chemistry,but the research on integrating "Quadruple Representation" into biology teaching is rare.Based on this situation,the author integrates issues questionnaires to senior high school biology teachers and students,and observes the front-line biology classroom on the spot,so as to understand the recognition of teachers and students on the "Quadruple Representation"and the application status of "Quadruple Representation" in the classroom.The results show that most teachers and students will not use the "Quadruple Representation" in teaching or learning.Therefore,in biology classroom teaching,"Quadruple Representation" has a great application space.According to the results of the investigation,the author integrates the teaching content of "Quadruple Representation" in senior high school biology textbook compulsory one,and chooses some classes of photosynthesis and cell respiration to construct the teaching ideas based on the "Quadruple Representation" thinking mode,and design the corresponding teaching cases.Two classes with no significant difference in biological performance were selected for practice,and case teaching was carried out in the experimental class,while the traditional teaching was still carried out in the control class.Finally,the paper and pencil test and student interview are used to analyze the effect of practical teaching.The results show that the experimental class has a better command of knowledge than the control class.It shows that the "Quadruple Representation" has certain operability and feasibility in practical teaching,which can effectively stimulate students' interest in learning and promote students'understanding and internalization of knowledge."Quadruple Representation" can provide a new outlet for biology teaching,but there are some limitations in the selection of teaching content.Under the condition that the teaching environment allows,choosing the appropriate teaching content for the teaching design of"Quadruple Representation" can effectively promote the development of students' thinking,but the teaching design of the applicable modules in the teaching materials needs further exploration by the majority of teachers.
