The new curriculum reform and the new curriculum standards emphasize that the students' subjectivity status should be fully guaranteed in teaching and their core accomplishment should be enhanced as well.Quadruple representation studied in this paper is a kind of teaching mode which can be closely related to the quality in chemistry and be conducive to students of cultivating and also developing their thinking and core accomplishment.This paper is divided into five modules.The first part is the introduction which mainly includes the research background,research status,research purpose,significance,ideas and methods.Then both the core concepts of Quadruple representation and ionic balance are defined and the theoretical basis of the research is described.In the third part,the cognition of the teaching mode of Quadruple representation among teachers and students and the application of the teaching mode in senior high school chemistry class can be investigated through teacher interviews and student questionnaires.It is concluded that the teaching mode of Quadruple representation is not widely used in high school chemistry class,and there are some deficiencies in some teachers' educational philosophy,teaching mode and students' learning attitude and methods.Meanwhile,there is also a certain bias in the cognition of this teaching mode which is not conducive to the cultivation of students' core accomplishment.In the fourth part,based on this investigation and study,there are four instructional designs have been carried out in the chapter of "ionic balance in aqueous solution" according to the teaching mode.Through the analysis of students' test scores before and after the practice and interviews between teachers and students,it is clear that the teaching mode is conducive to the cultivation of students' core accomplishment and the improvement of teachers' professional quality of chemistry teaching in high school.Finally,summarizing,reflecting the shortcomings,and prospecting the application and development of the teaching mode in this paper are to provide references for study of the teaching mode and chemistry teaching in high school.
