With the deepening of educational reform throughout the country,the new curriculum reform requires that all discipline education should focus on core literacy,form a line from point to point,and finally build an interdisciplinary and systematic knowledge network structure.The quadruple representation theory organically combines the current high school chemistry knowledge system with the unity of micro particles and macro phenomena,the transformation of chemical symbols and chemical reactions,and the description of data charts and chemical processes.At the same time,students are required to have high overall thinking in the process of theoretical learning.Therefore,the promotion of quadruple representation theory in senior high school chemistry teaching coincides with the requirements of the new curriculum reform.In recent years,the research on quadruple characterization theory has developed vigorously in China,and the relevant theories have been mature,which has laid a theoretical foundation for the popularization of quadruple Characterization Theory in chemical science.Guided by solo classification theory,constructivism theory and information processing theory,combined with the current research status and existing research results on quadruple representation at home and abroad,this paper takes chemical balance as the starting direction,takes the second grade of a key middle school in Harbin as the test object through questionnaire survey,and carries out relevant tests by using SPSS 21.0 software carries out correlation analysis on the test papers,focusing on the comparative study of the differences in the four representation transformation ability of students in different classes and different genders.By comparing the experimental data,we can see that there are still some problems in the students' performance transformation ability.The transformation ability from curve representation and micro representation to other representations is relatively weak,especially the transformation ability from micro representation to curve representation is the weakest.The factors that may cause this problem are that the curve carries too much information,so that students can not complete the screening of effective information,and the micro world is complex,changeable and abstract,which can not describe the micro essence of the reaction,resulting in the weak ability of mutual transformation between curve representation and micro representation.Through the comparison of different classes,it is found that there is an obvious gap in the actual performance,and the key classes are significantly higher than the parallel classes;Through the comparison of different genders,it is found that there is no significant difference between boys and girls in the conversion ability of most representation abilities.Only in the conversion between macro representation and micro representation,boys are slightly better than girls,while girls are better than boys in symbolic representation.Based on the analysis of the above data,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve students' representation transformation ability: teachers should focus on cultivating students' image information mining in teaching;Strengthen the connection between multiple representations,develop the thinking logic of multiple representations,improve students' understanding and understanding of quadruple representations,and strengthen students' awareness of the cultivation of quadruple representation transformation ability;Teachers should develop teaching cases based on the "four Representations" teaching mode to help students fully understand and understand chemistry,improve their interest in chemistry learning,master the ways and methods of chemistry learning,and comprehensively improve students' chemistry core literacy;Students should actively improve the ability of quadruple representation transformation,hoping to give more teachers reference when teaching chemical balance.
