Academic self-efficacy refers to the individual's judgment and self-confidence in the ability to successfully complete academic tasks. It has a significant impact on students' academic performance and academic development. For students in vocational colleges, most of them are students who have not advanced to high school.Due to the "failure of high school entrance examination" and some other factors, they will face more pressure and frustration, and there will be a lack of motivation in learning, unclear learning goals, improper learning methods, etc. These problems will lead to a decline in students' academic performance and poor academic performance. The basic psychological needs are the "nutrition" of the healthy growth and physical and mental development of the individual, and the basis of self-integration,and the satisfaction of psychological needs can affect students' learning strategies, learning behavior and learning achievements. Therefore,it is very necessary to improve the basic psychological needs and academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students through effective measures.First of all, using the Basic Psychological Needs Scale and the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale to measure 600 students in a secondary vocational college in Huaibei City, and to explore the current situation and the relationship between the basic psychological needs and academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students. Then, based on this,50 research subjects were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 25 people in each group.Group counseling programs were designed to intervene in the experimental group to investigate the effect of group counseling with basic psychological needs on academic self-efficacy.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students is in the middle level, and the score of learning ability self-efficacy is slightly higher than the learning behavior self-efficacy.Boys' learning ability self-efficacy are significantly higher than girls',urban secondary vocational students' academic self-efficacy and all dimensions are significantly higher than rural vocational students, the scores of academic self-efficacy and all dimensions of the students who are class cadres are significantly higher than those who are not class cadres, the only child's academic self-efficacy and learning ability self-efficacy are significantly higher than those of non-only children, and the academic self-efficacy and learning ability self-efficacy of the third grade students are significantly higher than those of the first grade students.(2)The overall satisfaction of the basic psychological needs of secondary vocational students is better. The basic psychological needs and relationship needs of girls are significantly higher than that of boys, the basic psychological needs and all dimensions of urban vocational students are significantly higher than those of rural vocational students, the basic psychological needs and relationship needs and ability needs of the students who are class cadres are significantly higher than those who are not class cadres. There is no significant difference in the basic psychological needs between whether they are only children and grade variables.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between the basic psychological needs and academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students, and the basic psychological needs have a good predictive effect on the academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students.(4)Through the group counseling of the basic psychological needs, the degree of satisfaction of the basic psychological needs of vocational students can be significantly improved, and the academic self-efficacy of vocational students can be further significantly improved, and the intervention effect is good.According to this study, the following four education suggestions are proposed:(1)Focus on the standardization of students' learning behavior, cultivate students' good learning habits, and help students master the correct learning strategies and learning methods.(2)Help students to establish development goals that are in line with their own reality, and guide students to achieve a successful experience in achieving the goals.(3)Carry out various campus activities to enable students to explore their potentials and improve themselves.(4)Cultivate a good teacher-student relationship so that students experience the care and attention of teachers.
