In today's era,everyone must become a lifelong learner,and education needs to lay the foundation for lifelong learning for each student.It has become a consensus to emphasize the connection between learning and the real world,and to emphasize the literacy required to cope with future society rather than pure knowledge and skills.In this context,project-based learning has become a highly regarded teaching model in the field of basic education.This article investigates the application of project-based learning in junior high school in Jining City.On the one hand,it understands the specific application of project-based learning,analyzes the current problems and causes of project-based learning in the process of development,and proposes corresponding improvement suggestions.On the other hand,by strengthening the in-depth understanding of the connotation and essence of project-based learning,it will promote the related research of project-based learning in junior high school physics,and provide reference for schools in Jining and other regions to implement project-based learning.This article is based on Dewey's "learning by doing" teaching theory,using questionnaires and interviews to conduct research.Firstly,through the theoretical analysis,the concept,characteristics,elements and teaching process of project-based learning are defined.Secondly,according to the actual teaching situation of junior high school physics in Jining City,questionnaires and interview outlines are formulated;once again,in representative middle schools in various regions of Jining City investigate and study the statistical analysis of the survey results.Finally,based on the results of the questionnaires and interviews,find out the existing problems,and combine the relevant theories to propose the improvement strategies and suggestions for the application of project-based learning in junior high school physics teaching.The study found that there are five problems in the application of project-based learning in physics teaching of junior high school: first,the arbitrary nature of content selection;second,the blindness of context creation;third,the inefficiency of activity implementation;and fourth,the randomness of result evaluation.Fifth,the lack of resource allocation.There are four factors that affect the effectiveness of project-based learning: the traditional education values hinder the understanding and implementation of project-based learning;the utilitarian and single evaluation mechanism;the incomplete teacher training system and resource shortage;and the comprehensive quality of teachers to be improved.In order to realize the effective application of project-based learning in junior high school,it should be improved from four levels: firstly,we should establish a correct concept of project-based learning: deeply understand the connotation of project-based learning and achieve a positive change in teaching methods;secondly,we should improve the teaching design of project-based learning: select appropriate project-based learning topics,design reasonable aims,plan a clear and organized teaching process,and formulate systematic and effective evaluation standards;thirdly,strengthen the teaching management of project-based learning:scientifically build a project-based learning community and implement dynamic management of school hours,develop strict supervision and incentive mechanism;in the end,we should strengthen the resource guarantee of project-based learning: strengthen the construction of teachers,train "double teacher" teachers;increase funding support,and optimize the conditions for project-based learning.
