With the development of the new era and the in-depth reform of physics curriculum, from the education of "knowledge intention" to the cultivation and development of "core literacy".In June 2019,the national guidance document clearly proposed "project-based learning".According to the national development needs, talent training requirements and the development demands of the times,we should pay attention to cultivating students’ ability to apply what they have learned. This study applies project-based learning to physics teaching in junior middle school in order to improve students’ practical application ability and design innovation ability. This study mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire, interview and document research to explore the teaching practice. Before the project-based teaching practice, through the interview and exchange with front-line teachers, the questionnaire survey and field survey of some middle school students, the problems existing in the current junior middle school physics teaching are analyzed: the exploration situation is not in-depth,the activity results are not fed back, and the learning activities are less open; Then it expounds the principles and application of project-based learning strategies in Physics Teaching in junior middle school.Firstly, based on project-based learning, establish the basic principles of the implementation of teaching activities: the principle of in-depth construction of learning situation, the principle of autonomy of inquiry process, and the principle of scientific evaluation of activity test.Secondly, according to the exploration of practical teaching, this paper puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies: the ingenious design strategy of learning situation, the implementation strategy of learning process, and the evaluation strategy of learning works. In the practice of project-based teaching, the exploration of practical teaching is divided into three stages: "hand in hand teaching","let go teaching" and "let go teaching".Based on project-based learning, this paper analyzes the current physics teaching problems in junior middle school, and puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies;Applying the corresponding teaching strategies to the teaching practice of the school is the real exploration of the author in the educational practice. After the project-based teaching practice, combined with the questionnaire collection, teaching implementation and teacher interview records,SPSS 21.0 is used to analyze the questionnaire data to clarify the effectiveness of practical teaching: project-based learning can promote the development of students’ practical application ability and design creation ability to a certain extent.Through the exploration of teaching practice and theoretical research, the conclusion of this study is: for teachers,it enhances the understanding of project-based learning and inquiry, and improves the ability of project-based teaching; For students,it not only promotes the in-depth understanding of physical knowledge, but also improves students’ practical exploration ability and design creation ability. Finally,it illustrates the lack of research: the design of project problems is not accurate enough, and the time of project activities is not enough.Based on this, the improvement ideas are put forward: enhance the scientificity of project problem design and improve the rationality of project time design. This study tries to improve the effect of Physics Teaching in junior middle school and give full play to the teaching advantages of project-based learning in cultivating students’ design and creative ability and practical application ability.Based on this research, the author will continue to refine and deepen the application of project-based learning in junior middle school physics teaching.
