As the largest education for students in school,compulsory education is in a basic position in the whole national education system and must give priority to the development of public welfare undertakings.At present,the goal of the integrated reform and development of urban and rural compulsory education requires the balanced development of compulsory education between urban and rural areas.As a kind of special school-running organization with a small number of students and a small school scale,rural small-scale school is of great significance in ensuring that school-age children in rural areas can attend school nearby and so on.Therefore,it is an indispensable form of school existence.However,with the rapid development of urbanization,the development gap between rural small-scale schools and urban schools is increasing,and the development of schools is facing severe challenges in terms of insufficient educational resources and low quality of education.Nowadays,how to solve the development problem of small-scale schools in rural areas so that rural students can enjoy the same educational resources and services as urban students is the focus and difficulty of realizing the balanced development of compulsory education and the key to realizing the integrated development of urban and rural compulsory education.The development of rural small-scale schools should be the focus of the country and society to solve the urgent problem.Based on rural elementary school in X county of shandong province as the research object,through field survey 6 and 2 rural small-scale schools town center,school,and to understand the development of the small rural school and summarizes the development of the school faces problems,details are as follows: in the aspect of rural small schools gained support from the external conditions,faced with lack of enrollment and school of the poor condition of students,the hardware facilities of utilization rate is low and the use effect of poor problem,insufficient education funds,the school teachers strength is weak and in terms of age,educational background,professional title,subject structure unreasonable problems;In terms of the internal operation of the school,problems mainly exist in the aspects of curriculum,teaching and school-running philosophy,which are embodied in the implementation effect of school-based courses and other “small” subjects cannot be guaranteed,the implementation of teaching,research and teaching reform activities are difficult,the formalization of school-running philosophy is serious,and the lack of school characteristic development.By analyzing the causes of the development problem of the above small-scale rural schools,this paper puts foward the solutions to the development problems of the schools from the external development environment and the schools themselves on the basis of clarifying the development vision of the schools.In terms of the external development environment,we should provide support to schools in terms of the allocation of school education funds and the supplement of teachers in terms of improving the corresponding education system and mechanism and issuing relevant education policies.In terms of the development of the school itself,countermeasures are proposed from the perspective of improving the ability of the principals and teachers and giving play to the role of principals and teachers in school education,teaching and management.
