Higher vocational education and general higher education constitute an important part of modern higher education system.In recent years,with the continuous expansion scale of higher vocational education in China,the teachers' ability and level of higher vocational colleges have difficulties in following the development of higher vocational education,which seriously restricts the high-quality development of higher vocational education.As a traditional provincial public vocational college approved by the people's government of S Province,H College also faces the same problems.Based on this,combined with the actual situation of H College,this paper comprehensively uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey and other research methods to carry out the research.By analyzing the objective data and academic theory,describing the basic situation of H College,the paper makes clear the current situation,problems and causes of H College teachers' ability,and puts forward corresponding problem plans.The research indicates that the H College teachers' professional training is not deep enough,which leads to the lack of clear grasp of the practical and applied teaching contents,the disconnection between teaching knowledge and the applied skills required by the current society,and the lack of motivation for practice and scientific and technological innovation caused by the lack of stimulation of the teacher assessment mechanism of H College.The ability to combine theory with practice and to innovate in scientific research are seriously insufficient,and the training and introduction of teachers in H College are not enough,which leads to the ineffective development of talents,especially the serious shortage of high-level talents,making the college have a large talent gap in most professional fields.Based on the analysis of theory and practice,this paper puts forward a series of measures to improve the professional ability of H College teachers such as to strengthen their training from all aspects and multi angles,to integrate the inter school resource platform,to enhance the exchange and interaction with brother colleges;to further promote the integration of industry and education,to improve the cooperation mechanism between school and enterprise,to build a vocational education group,to carry out the joint construction and cooperation between school and enterprise cooperation mode.Also,the paper establishes and improve the mutual promotion mechanism among teachers,students and professional engineers;establishing the evaluation mechanism of innovative performance and ability-oriented teachers' work performance,and improving the incentive mechanism of H College,and stimulating the internal power of teachers' growth.Through the research on the problems existing in the professional ability of H College teachers and the improvement plan,the research conclusions have two significant aspects.First,through in-depth and comprehensive analysis,the current situation,existing problems and root causes of H College teachers' professional ability are clarified,and the measures to improve H abilities are put forward,which provides good practical application guidance value for H College to improve its own teachers' ability and school management level.The second significance is that the professional ability of teachers is a common problem faced by higher vocational colleges in China.Through case study,the paper puts forward a scheme to improve the professional ability of teachers in the same type of higher vocational colleges in China,which also provides theoretical support and guidance.
