Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, the development of science and technology in China has made rapid progress, and the achievements of development have attracted worldwide attention.Nowadays, our country has raised the "rejuvenation of the country through science and education" to a strategic level, which fully shows the importance of science and education. However, the overall goal of science curriculum in primary school is to cultivate students' scientific literacy. The reform of the basic education curriculum proposes to change the status of students' passive learning, and advocates students' positive learning. The primary school science curriculum standard also mentions the words "fun","curiosity" and the others for many times, emphasizing that in science teaching, students' curiosity should be protected, and fun learning environment should be created for students. The core content of this study,"game-based learning" is a new learning mode that can stimulate students' interest in learning.Especially in recent years, there is an upsurge of research on game-based learning at home and abroad. An increasing number of front-line teachers use game-based learning for teaching practice, and summarize many advantages of game-based learning. In this study, taking educational intern as an opportunity of educational practice, the author conducted extensive investigation on the current situation of science teaching in primary schools, conducted in-depth study on the relevant literature of game-based learning, and carried out a series of game-based learning practices in teaching.Taking "Types of Soil" and "The Wings of Animals" as learning cases, combing with qualitative research and quantitative research on the learning effect of students, this paper evaluates on three levels of emotion, cognition and behavior, and explores the specific impact of game-based learning mode in primary school science teaching in classroom, and puts forward relevant suggestions. This study mainly discusses by the following six chapters:On the one hand, the first chapter explains the background knowledge of this study, including the author's learning experience and practical experience, the advocacy of new curriculum standards and the vigorous development of game-based learning;on the other hand,it explains the significance, content and methods of this research. In the second chapter, through the learning and research of domestic and foreign literature, the author summarizes the current situation of game-based learning in China and abroad, including the current situation of theoretical research and practical research at home and abroad, and then explains the theoretical basis of this research, including game theory, constructivism theory and humanism theory. Finally, the author defines the related concepts, including "Game","Game-based learning" and "Game-based teaching" lay the foundation for the design and development of learning cases. The third chapter elaborates the overall design of scientific game-based learning in primary school, including designing ideas, learning strategies and evaluation design of learning effects.According to the overall designing idea of the previous chapter, the fourth chapter designs and practices two learning cases of "Types of Soil" and "The Wings of Animals" based on the investigation of the current situation of science teaching in primary schools. In order to make the research more in-depth,each learning case were carries out in two rounds of practice, and then summarizes the game-based learning effect through interviews and analysis of students' behavior observation scale in classroom. The author summaries influence on students learning behavior, and evaluates the positive effects and shortcomings of game-based learning in classroom practice. The fifth chapter summarizes the influence of game-based learning on students' emotion and cognition through questionnaire survey;it also proves that game-based learning can really promote students' mastery of scientific knowledge by comparing with unit test results of ordinary teaching classes. In addition,it puts forward related suggestions on the practice of game-based learning in science classes of primary school.Based on the above work, chapter six summarizes the research, finds out theshortcomings, and looks forward to the application of game-based learning science curriculum of primary.
