The PBL model is a teaching model originating in the West,and it has had a great impact in the basic education sector in China.It emphasizes student-centeredness and students' problems as the center,allowing students to solve problems in real situations.It has certain reference significance for education and teaching practice.With the reform of education and teaching,the whole book reading has become an indispensable module in high school Chinese teaching.On the one hand,as far as the curriculum standard is concerned,the2017 edition of the “Standards of the Senior High School Chinese Curriculum Standard”defines the entire book reading and discussion as an important task group,and puts forward specific teaching requirements.On the other hand,in terms of actual teaching,although some schools and teachers have summed up some successful experiences in the teaching of the whole book reading,they have not yet explored a positive and effective method to guide students to read the whole book.Based on this,the author borrows the advantages of the PBL model and combines it with the whole book reading teaching,in order to provide a practical teaching method for the whole book reading teaching.On the one hand,it can enrich the theoretical study of the whole book reading teaching,on the other hand,it can provide a thought for the whole book reading teaching of the frontline teachers.In the early stage of the research,the author made a conceptual definition and reviewed the whole book reading and PBL mode by collating the literature.In the middle of the study,the author used questionnaires and case studies to conduct empirical research.As far as the students are concerned,the main method is the questionnaire survey method,the interest in reading the whole book,the method of reading the whole book,the problem awareness of the whole book reading,the bibliographic selection of the whole book reading,and the reading of the whole book of high school students.The five aspects of the ability to summarize the content of the book are studied.Through the investigation,it is found that the high school students have not read enough in the whole book reading process,reading less thoughts,reading no problem awareness,reading and reading enthusiasm has not been mobilized in five aspects.As far as teaching is concerned,the author has used the caseanalysis method to analyze the classroom teaching record of the book "Alive" and interviewed the teachers who guided the class.It was found that the Chinese teachers have guidance in guiding students to read the whole book.Not enough,the depth of the text is not enough,and the attention to the problem is not enough.In order to solve the problems in the above investigation,the author introduced the PBL mode,and analyzed the feasibility of combining the PBL mode with the whole book reading teaching,and proposed the whole book reading teaching before,during and after class.The teaching strategy of the stage,that is,the teacher must create a real reading situation in the process of introduction before class,the purpose is to trigger the students to think in the real situation,let the students read with questions;in the class,encourage students to solve themselves The problem,if the students can not solve it by themselves,solve the problem through the form of group cooperation.And after the problem is solved,new questions are raised;in the after-school stage,teachers and students are asked to summarize the harvest of the whole book in the form of questions.According to the above teaching suggestions combined with the PBL model,the author designed the teaching case of "Live",and carried out teaching practice from three aspects: pre-class reading,class communication,and after-class summarization.By observing the students' classroom response,it is found that students' participation in the classroom is improved,their interest in reading "Living" is strengthened,and students are actively speaking in communication with teachers.After theoretical and practical exploration,the author believes that the whole book reading teaching based on the PBL model is of positive significance.It is also hoped that the PBL mode can provide a practical idea for high school students to read the whole book.
