With the rapid development of information technology in the modern society,people gradually attach importance to statistical knowledge,which has become one of the indispensable knowledge of modern citizens.In the "Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011 edition)" issued in 2012,"Statistics and Probability" was introduced into mathematics textbooks as an independent section,while the primary mathematics textbooks published by Jiangsu education press is subject to the second round of revision according to the 2011 edition curriculum standard.For teachers,the new statistics sections and the use of new textbooks are all new challenges.This study focuses on the changes of the statistical section in the new and old textbooks and the problems in teachers' teaching,and also puts forward corresponding suggestions,so as to provide a reference for teachers' teaching in the future.Firstly,based on combing and analyzing of the relevant literatures,the existing research literature,the basic research status of teaching of mathematics statistics in primary schools is understood.It is founded out that teachers and scholars begin to pay more attention to the statistical content gradually,they not only points out some problems in teaching practice,but also puts forward corresponding suggestions.Then,a static analysis is made from the perspective of textbooks,by comparing the statistical content of the new and old textbooks from selection,organization and presentation of content,taking the Jiangsu education version textbook as an example.Next,through the classroom observation and the interviewing method,it is understood that the situation of teachers' teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods and activities based on new textbooks and the existing problems are found out.For the problems and their causes,the author have a try to choose some typical teaching contents to designing,and take teaching practice research.Through the activities of students in teaching and performance on the homework after class,it can be seen that good results have been achieved.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions for teachers,such as to enhancing their statistical awareness,grasping the core value of statistics and improving their teaching skills.
