Accurate interpretation of the important content of "statistics and probability" in primary school mathematics textbook is a common problem faced by primary school teachers.Based on this reality,this paper focuses on the core issue of "What are the characteristics of the contents of" Statistics and Probability "in the Soviet Educational Press and the People’s Educational Press and its implications for teaching".In order to solve this problem,this paper first interprets the curriculum objectives and contents of "Statistics and Probability" in "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011Edition)",and then uses text analysis and quantitative analysis methods to infiltrate other mathematical contents from five aspects: content distribution,presentation mode,number of exercises,comprehensive difficulty of exercises,and the thought and method of "Statistics and Probability".From the point of view,this paper makes an analysis and comparison of "statistics and probability" in primary school mathematics textbooks published by Soviet Educational Press and Peoples Educational Press.In the course of comparative study,it finds out the characteristics of the contents of "statistics and probability" in the two versions of textbooks,and then explores the teaching reform ideas of this subject content.In the course of specific research,it is found that the characteristics of the contents of "Statistics and Probability" in the two versions of textbooks reflect the following modern curriculum theory ideas: the curriculum content highlights the purpose of data analysis;the selection of examples and exercises related to students’ life world and the randomness of data guiding students to experience;the curriculum content pays attention to the whole process of data analysis at both macro and micro levels;and "unification".The knowledge and thought method of "taking into account probability" infiltrates other contents beyond the boundaries.According to these ideological characteristics,the suggestions for teaching improvement are as follows: to create a real problem situation reflecting "statistics and probability" to arouse students’ desire for knowledge;to actively develop curriculum resources of "statistics and probability" to enrich teaching content;to enable students to experience the complete process of "statistics and probability" activities;to cultivate students’ data analysis concepts based on "statistics and probability";“ The holistic consciousness of teaching design of statistics and probability.
