Currently,China's hospice care services are generally targeted at adults,Especially in the elderly,The child's hospice care is slow to develop,Children's hospice care is a huge challenge for the medical social work field.Due to the particularity of this group of children,in the face of death,Physiological,psychological,and social relationships are different from adults,Therefore,social work services will also have certain differences.This paper analyses the particularities of dying children in several aspects,including their reaction and response to diseases,pain and drugs at the physiological level;there are differences in their cognition of death,as well as the changes of psychology when dying;their family support network has its particularity,their school support network is important;and the special needs of children for development and learning.Based on the investigation of hospice care services of Chongqing FS Children's Hospital and Changsha H Children's Hospice Care Institution.Based on the perspective of the theory of “Psychosocial Treatment Modality” and focusing on the "personal-environmental" factors of dying children.We will explore a hospice social work service model with child-centered,enhancing abilities of individual,family,professional care workers and connecting social resources through the three stages "research-diagnosis-treatment".This paper takes a case of dying child in F Children's Hospital as the object of case study,During 5 services from dying stage to bereavement support stage,based on the perspective of the theory of “Psychosocial Treatment Modality”.By evaluating the needs and problems of the client in physiology,psychology and society,we can provide intervention strategies for service object.
