Research On Higher Education Policy In Laos From The Perspective Of "4E"

Education has always been an important area in the development of countries all over the world.The rise and progress of a country should not only focus on rapid economic development and industrial improvement,but also pay special attention to the role of education.It is precisely because of the constant recognition of the vital role of education in national development that countries are making more efforts to formulate policies to improve the quality of education.Through policies to strengthen the investment of education aspect,to carry out the education exchanges with other countries,draw lessons from excellent education experience of other countries,to constantly improve their own education level.However,due to the restriction of historical factors,higher education in Laos started relatively late compared with other countries,and the foundation is relatively weak.As a result,there are still many problems in higher education in Laos,including large regional gap,unbalanced development,insufficient investment of educational resources such as funds and equipment,imperfect educational management policies and lack of vocational education,which have long plagued the development of higher education in Laos.Therefore,the reform and improvement of higher education policy in Laos has become a long-term project.This article first to Laos domestic and foreign related research situation in higher education policy,secondly to Laos higher education policy evolution and characteristics in different periods of policy analysis,then summarizes the Lao the policy system and the development of higher education,and "4E" evaluation method is used to Laos the Efficiency of higher education policy,Economy,Effectiveness and Equity,four aspects in-depth analysis,and finally,in summarizes Laos higher education at present the four problems,on the basis of the reform of higher education policy in Laos put forward the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions,in order to improve the higher education with Laos existing deficiencies.This paper aims to draw conclusions on the basis of research and analysis so as to provide reference and guidance for higher education in Laos,and provide method guidance for solving practical problems in higher education in Laos at present,and provide some references for future scholars to further study in this field.
