Nowadays,the lives of students are jeopardized by natural disasters,campus safety incidents and bullying injuries.According to the news media that about 16,000 students die abnormally every year in China,and 80%of these abnormal deaths can be avoided through preventive measures and emergency treatment.The shocking figures tell us that primary and secondary school students are more vulnerable to setbacks,emergencies and sudden disasters.lt is important to teach them survival skills in the initial stages of education.Therefore,we explore the significance of school education from the perspective of survival education;it has become a hot topic and is also a social appeal for life to return to the essence of education.This research attempts to take the physical education classroom as the carrier,and the junior school students' survival education and physical education as the entry point,adopts the literature and experimental methods to carry on research.The study conducted a questionnaire survey of 180 students in six junior high schools in Danyang City to understand the basical survival knowledge and survival skills of junior high school students in Danyang City,as well as the development of survival education in the school,and took the Grade8 students in QianAi Middle School as the objects to explore and analyze the feasibility of implementing siurvival education in physical education teaching,and seek the suitable mode of survival education for the school,which can provide a theoretical reference for survival education in the physical and health curriculum of primary and secondary schools in Danyang City.The study draws the following conclusions:First,Most schools in Danyang are carrying out survival education,but in the process of implementing survival education,it is only a formality.Students are in great need of the exercising opportunities which are necessary and practical,teachers also don't form a systematic teaching model.Second,Through the experimental comparison of different teaching methods in two parallel teaching classes in the former QianAi Middle School,it is discovered that penetrating survival knowledge and skills in physical class,students can deal with the unexpected events calmly and resolve frustration and stress properly.Third,When the survival education runs through the physical class,students can improve their physical fitness and the ability to survive.Whafs more,this teaching model has the value of sustainable development research.
