Research On Campus Safety Management In Colleges And Universities

As an important subsystem of the society,universities bear the important responsibility of cultivating talents,scientific research and serving the society.Establishing a long-term safety management mechanism to maintain campus safety and stability is very important in the management process of the universities.Taking S University as the example,this paper combines the safety incident briefings published by the school website and the author's self-made questionnaire to sort out the types of security incidents that occur frequently in S University during the past six years,the frequency and causes of each type of security incidents,and S.University students' safety awareness,trying to analyze the current situation of S University's safety management comprehensively.On this basis,the author selects the United States and Japan as representatives of foreign universities,and lists the relevant measures taken by the governments,society and schools of the two countries for the security of colleges and universities,hoping to provide some reference and experience for further improving the management level of campus security in China.In summary,the author puts forward some measures and suggestions about improving the campus security management:(1)From the system level,it is necessary to improve the construction of rules and regulations related to campus security management,strengthen the hierarchical system construction of campus security management team and the evaluation system of campus safety management.(2)At the material and technical level,it is necessary to improve physical prevention and material security,strengthen the three major systems of video surveillance,access control management,fire alarm and safety network information platform;(3)At the human level,the school safety committee and the secondary department as the starting point,with the security guard team and the counselor team as the focus,continuously improve the professional level of safety management team and students' safety awareness,so as to create a safe,stable and harmonious campus environment.
