Objective: Research on the correlation between lower-body power and multi-directional speed.Significance: To improve the scientific nature and effectiveness of training.Methods: Thirty-two football major students(age = 21.03 ± 2.12,height = 1.76 ± 0.11 m,body weight = 73.5 ± 9.5 Kg)from Beijing Sport University were selected as test subjects,and the power indexes test indicators as follows,CMJ(counter movement jump),SBJ(standing broad jump),LLJ(left-leg lateral jump)RLJ(right-leg lateral jump),DJ(40-centimetre drop jump).multi-directional speed test indicators as follows,40 meters running test,T test and CODA test.Results: 10 m sprints associated with CMJ(r =-0.468,p = 0.007)and RSI(rapid strength index)(r =-0.532,p = 0.002)is moderate correlation.20 m sprints correlated with CMJ(r =-0.434,p = 0.013)and RSI(r =-0.482,p = 0.005)is moderate correlation.40 m sprints correlated with CMJ(r =-0.523,p = 0.005),LLJ(r =-0.440,p = 0.005),RSI(r =-0.501,p = 0.003)is moderate correlation and low correlation with SBJ,RLJ.The T test correlated with CMJ(r =-0.526,p = 0.002),SBJ,and RSI(r=-0.523,p=0.005)is significant correlation.The CODA test showed significant correlation with CMJ(r =-0.405,p = 0.021),SBJ,LLJ(r =-0.430,p = 0.014),RLJ(r =-0.406,p = 0.021).RSIJ(r =-0.544,p = 0.001).Conclusion:The CMJ correlated with all speed test,T test,CODA test and predicted T test.The SBJ is significant correlated with the speed of 0-40 meter,T test,CODA test and predicted all test.The LLJ is significant correlated with the speed of 0-40 meters,CODA test and predicted it.The RSI is correlated with all speed test,T test,CODA test and the T test can not be predicted,the other can be predicted.
