A Study On Vocational Education In Modern Tianjin(1876-1949)

As one of the most characteristic education in modern Tianjin,vocational education had made outstanding contriburions to the economic development and social construction in modern Tianjin.lt had various types of schools,having perfect system,training a large number of technical talents for all walks,promoting the modernization of education in Tianjin.But the current research on vocational education in modern Tianjin do not have any rich achievements and the perspective of research is narrow.This research content is the vocational education in Tianjin from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the founding of the People's Republic of China,through the documentary methond and the historical research method,investigating the background,development status,development factors and historical influence.Through this research,we can find the reason why vocational education is prosperously developed in modern Tianjin,providing a usefol reference for the construction of the vocational education now.This paper includes the following contentsrthe introduction part,including the question proposed,the literature review,and defines the core concepts of the research,summing up the significance and methods of research;in chapter one?the paper introduces the natural and social background of vocational education in modern Tianjin;in chapter two,according to the major events in the history of vocational education in modern Tianjin,it is divided into four stagesrthe embryo stages,the initial development period,the rapid development period and the maintenance period,discussing the development situalion and characteristics of the vocational education in each period;chapter three and chapter four respectively discuss the administration and school management of vocational education in modern Tianjin,researching its funds,school administration and curriculum;chapter five analyses the factors of the development of vocational educational in modern Tianjin from the economic,political and cultural levels,summing up its historical roles;in the conclusion port,it discusses the reference and enlightenment of vocational education in modern Tianjin to the current construction of vocational education.
