The development of rural education needs teachers,and educational belief is the core factor in the teacher’s professional development.Teacher’s educational belief is the teacher’s views in educational purpose,self,curriculum,teaching,students and all the phenomena and problems related to education,which are formed in the process of individual cognition and practice,it instructs the teacher’s educational action and educational cognitive activity.A firm and scientific educational belief can help rural teachers to find the right goal and direction in the confused reality,but not to lose themselves in the various problems of educational practice,and not to be confused by the material interests,either.The firm education belief can make the rural teachers stick to their own posts,work hard for their own job,and realize their own life value in the educational teaching practice.At present,there are many research on teachers’ educational belief at home and abroad,but it pays less attention to the rural teachers’ educational belief.Based on the shortcomings of the previous research,this study mainly use the method of field investigation to take the Z junior middle rural school as the research field,and takes the teachers in the Z junior middle school as the research object.This paper will explores the current educational belief of rural teachers after making the deep understanding of Z middle school teachers’ actual working condition and personal growth experience.It is found that there are some typical characteristics of rural teachers’ educational belief in the following aspects: ignore the students’ self-control and initiative but pay attention to the students’ external control and supervision;attribute the students’ problem behavior to the outside and shirk the responsibility of education;take the examination result as the important standard in evaluating students;teachers’ profession is regarded as a means of making a living and educational belief is indifferent,and so on.The root cause is that there is little training on rural teachers’ educational belief,which makes it is difficult to form the scientific educational belief.And while facing the conflicts of faith,they wouldwaver.Rural school management is not democratic enough,and the leading educational belief is backward,which is not conducive to form the scientific educational belief of rural teachers.According to these,this paper puts forward the following two proposals: on the one hand,promoting the development of rural teachers’ educational belief by strengthening external protection.On the other hand,promoting the rural teachers’ educational belief through improving the rural teachers’ self-reflection awareness and lifelong learning.
