Research On Baiquan Academy Of Ming And Qing Dynasties

Baiquan Academy is one of the famous colleges in Henan Province.Its fame is related to the famous Confucianism in the Song and Yuan Dynasties.Therefore,in the existing research on Baiquan Academy,more concentrated on the famous Confucian education thoughts and their lecture activities during the Song and Yuan Dynasties.In fact,the true establishment and naming of Baiquan Academy was in the Ming Dynasty.Baiquan College has been running schools in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.It has sent a large number of talents to the country.Its development has been extended to the late Qing Dynasty.For such a long period of time,the schooling situation of Baiquan Academy is unclear,and research on it is not deep.Therefore,this paper first needs to sort out the development of Baiquan Academy and elaborated on its development process.Secondly,by examining the choice of external environment and internal related construction,the author analyzes the origin of Baiquan Academy’s site selection,construction and naming.The author also inspected the academic rules,collections and ritual activities of Baiquan Academy,revealing the educational purpose of "Mingrenren" and cultivating the educational goals of the sages.Then,in-depth discussion of the specific situation of teachers and students teaching activities,revealing the teaching characteristics of their " Lecture and self-study ".Finally,while restoring and recreating the historical truth of the Baiquan Academy in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it aims to reveal the role of Baiquan Academy in promoting local education.
