With the implementation of the universal two-child policy,having a second child has become a consideration for more families.In this study,shandong province,the most productive province,was selected as an example.Based on the dual attitude model,the real attitude of the first-born children of primary school students towards their parents to have a second child was studied from the perspectives of explicit attitude and implicit attitude.This study is divided into three parts.Study 1: questionnaire revision.Completed the revision of the questionnaire on the attitudes of primary school students towards parents having a second child.The revised questionnaire is applicable to primary school students studying in shandong province.Study 2: the explicit attitude of the first-born children of primary school students towards their parents to have a second child was studied by combining qualitative and quantitative methods.Using revised the pupil attitude questionnaire for parents have two children in four cities in shandong province(jining,Tai'an City,jinan,Qingdao)city 468 pupils were measured,the pupil first-born child explicit attitude towards parents have two children,and auxiliary interview method drawn from participants seven strong negative attitude of the parents have two children interview subjects,in order to further study on pupil first-born child birth two children to parents of negative reasons and put forward feasibility in advice for parents;Study 3: an experimental study was conducted to explore the implicit attitudes of the first-born children of primary school students towards their parents' having a second child.Implicit attitude Test was conducted for 43 participants of the second study,using a program called Implicit Association Test(IAT),to explore Implicit attitudes of primary school students' first-born children towards their parents' having a second child.After the above three studies,the research results are as follows :(1)the questionnaire on the attitudes of primary school students towards parents having a second child,which is suitable for primary school students in shandong province,is obtained.The reliability of the questionnaire is 0.969.(2)the first-born children of primary school students hold an overall positive and explicit attitude towards their parents' having a second child;(3)there is no gender difference in the first child's explicit attitude towards parents' second child;(4)there is a difference in the attitudes of primary school students towards whether their first child is an only child.Compared with the only child,the first child of non-only children has a more positive attitude.(5)primary school students' attitudes towards parents having a second child have differences in the first child's perception of family happiness.Respondents who feel happy in their family tend to hold a positive attitude towards parents having a second child,while those who do not feel happy tend to hold a negative attitude.(6)due to the difference in local economic level,the attitude of first-born children towards parents to have a second child differs in behavioral tendency;(7)the reasons for primary school students' first child's negative attitude towards their parents' having a second child are mainly composed of internal and external factors.Internal factors focus on the worry about themselves(including emotion and material)from the personal perspective,while external factors focus on the worry about parents and family from the perspective of guardians.(8)on the whole,the implicit attitude of the first-born children of primary school students towards the second child of their parents tends to be negative;(9)there were no significant differences in the implicit attitudes of the first-born children of primary school students towards their parents' having a second child in terms of gender,only-child status,family happiness perception and regional economic level.(10)the implicit attitudes of the first-born children of primary school students towards their parents' having a second child are significantly different in different cities and prefectures;(11)there was no significant correlation between the implicit and explicit attitudes of the first-born children of primary school students towards their parents' having a second child.
