The category of discontinuous education proposed by educators represented by Bornov inspires people to understand education from a new perspective.Researchers have gradually realized the significance of discontinuous education for school education, but few researchers have noticed such turning events as "crisis" and "encounter" in the real educational situation. In view of this, this study intends to use event interviews to collect data and qualitative research paradigm to explore school life transition events of primary and secondary school students from two aspects of regularity and causes. After collating, analyzing and coding the interview data, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The time rule of turning events: the turning events in the school life of the first grade of junior high school are the most, followed by the third grade of primary school and the first grade of senior high school, and then the second and third grade of senior high school. The reasons for each high incidence period are due to the differences of students' psychological characteristics, learning conditions and environment.(2)Types of turning events: According to the content of students' changes, turning events can be divided into five turning points: academic achievement, students' personality and human ecology,self-management and self-regulation in learning, and interest in learning.According to whether it is beneficial to students' development, turning events can be divided into positive turning points and negative turning points.(3)The triggering factors of turning events: Through the analysis and coding of interviews,we find that teachers' educational behavior and external environmental factors are the main causes of turning events.Positive educational behaviors such as enlightenment and encouragement, help and counseling expectations and responsibilities can lead to a positive turn for students, while negative educational behaviors such as irony, indifference and ridicule can lead to completely different turns for different students. The change of external environment, such as transfer and repetition, will give students theimpetus to make a positive transition. After analysis,we can summarize the characteristics of turning events, and on this basis,we put forward three suggestions for educators.
