The trial teaching method was formally proposed by Mr.Qiu Xuehua in 1982.The basic steps include preparing exercises,presenting test questions,self-study textbooks,trial exercises,student discussion,teacher’s explanation and the second attempt.Its main purpose is to cultivate students’ autonomous learning and inquiry ability,the essence of which is "practice before speaking,learn before teaching".Trial teaching method can highlight the main position of students,help to cultivate students’ autonomous learning and inquiry ability,coincide with the concept of the new curriculum,conform to the goal of cultivating core literacy of history discipline,and apply it appropriately in junior high school history teaching,can effectively enhance students’ humanistic literacy and improve the effect of history teaching.The application of trial teaching method in history teaching is generally divided into four links: selection of questions,self-study textbooks,discussion and explanation,and practice and consolidation.According to the design of teaching objectives,let students choose questions independently and directly adopt the inquiry questions in textbooks are the basic methods of selecting problems;when self-studytextbooks,we should integrate part of the contents of self-study textbooks with all the contents of self-study textbooks;when discussing and explaining,we should not only pay attention to the discussion within the group,but also pay attention to the discussion among the groups,and finish the discussion before teaching.Teachers should make unified explanations;practice and consolidation links,pay attention to flexible selection of exercise questions,not to make sea-of-questions tactics,fatigue tactics,to focus on key points,test points,summarize the law of doing questions,pay attention to cultivating students’ thinking ability.In the application of the trial teaching method,the following problems easily arise: students lack self-study ability,which leads to low learning efficiency;teacher improper operation of the trial teaching method,the use of dogmas and rigid copy.Therefore,teachers should constantly improve their own abilities,strengthen the correct guidance to students,integrate the trial teaching method with other teaching methods,achieve the goal of common development and progress between teachers and students,and improve the quality of history teaching in junior high schools.
