As for the problem of time consuming but low efficiency which exists in classical Chineseteaching in senior middle school, I focus on the research of changing this unsatisfying state byusing trial teaching theory, according to the result of questionnaires of students’ classical Chineselearning and teachers’ teaching situation in our school.In the research, I mainly analyze three problems: First, perform classical Chinese teaching insenior middle school with the method of trial teaching. In this part, the phenomenon of timeconsuming but low efficiency in teaching and its causes will be analyzed. Second, analyze thepossibility of performing classical Chinese teaching with the method of trial teaching. In this part,the theory of trial teaching and its model will be introduced and the advantages of trial teachingmethod and the unique advantages of performing classical Chinese teaching with this method insenior middle school will be presented. Third, introduce the basic pattern of performing classicChinese teaching with the method of trial teaching and then the strategies of performing teachingwith this method from two aspects according to my teaching experience. The first one is strategybefore class, that is, how to make up trial learning paper to direct students to preview the textefficiently. After their first attempt, students can find learning difficulties by their own trial. Thesecond one is strategy in class, that is, organizing efficient class activities for students. During theirsecond attempt, students can solve their problems. Meanwhile, teachers can give proper directionsin time.Performing classical Chinese teaching in senior middle school with the trial teaching methodis teacher-led and student-centered with the aim of increasing students’ initiative and interest inlearning classical Chinese and promoting their learning abilities finally.
