The report of the 19 th CPC national congress stressed that increasing the importance of rural compulsory education is an effective means to promote the integration of urban and rural compulsory education.As the precious wealth of rural schools and the disseminator of rural compulsory education knowledge,it has become particularly critical for rural teachers to pay attention to their practical needs,solve their worries and optimize their living conditions.To improve the survival status of rural teachers,based on the practical needs of rural teachers,to give rural teachers more care and understanding,will help improve the stability of rural teachers,more conducive to promoting the healthy development of rural education.Based on the analysis and arrangement of domestic and foreign literature and the relevant content of "ERG theory",this paper adopts the questionnaire survey and interview method to summarize the rural teachers' living state into the rural teachers' material living state,including salary,welfare and security.Spiritual survival state,including honors and awards,professional identity and other aspects;Professional development status,including exchange learning,professional training and so on.Through questionnaires and face-to-face interviews with rural teachers and administrators in 14 rural schools in S county,it is found that the survival state of rural teachers is not very ideal,and there are practical problems such as material needs to be satisfied,mental state to be improved,and professional development to be improved.On the basis of the analysis of the problems,the causes of the problems can be summarized as follows.Inadequate investment in rural education;There are cognitive defects of teachers in society;Old ideas need to be improved.Based on the analysis of the above problems and reasons,the corresponding improvement strategies are proposed,including: ensuring the implementation of supporting policies to safeguard the rights and interests of rural teachers;Increase funds to meet the survival needs of rural teachers;Create a harmonious atmosphere to give rural teachers understanding and respect;Improve the form of further study to promote the professional development of rural teachers;Renew the old ideas to strengthen the rural teachers 'self-consciousness.The improvement of rural teachers' living conditions requires the joint efforts of all parties,starting from the material,spiritual and professional needs of rural teachers,to improve the quality of rural teachers' life and work,so that rural teachers can truly become an enviable career,and then make rural education march towards a better tomorrow.
