Left-behind children are the product of China’s urbanization process.The latest survey data shows that there are more than 6 million rural left-behind children in China;because the parents are not around for a long time,the rural environment is relatively bad,and there are many problems in the survival and development of left-behind children: health,Education,security and other issues,although the government and various charitable organizations have given help to the lives of left-behind children,but lack of psychological health concerns for left-behind children,left-behind children are prone to problems such as inferiority,irritability,selfishness and communication barriers.The existing research on social work involving rural left-behind children mainly focuses on intergenerational education,academic disability,mental health,etc.There are few studies on emotional management of left-behind children,and most of them focus on emotional management and mental health and happiness.The relationship between the characteristics of emotional management,the recommendations for improvement of the family and the school,but the lack of specific practical intervention.Emotional management needs to be subdivided into different sections,and guided in a step-by-step manner according to the stages and processes of cognitive development.This paper focuses on the emotional management of rural left-behind children.Based on the Yongqing Foundation project,the target is rural left-behind children in L Town,Y City,Gansu Province.Through observation,interviews and research,the current situation and needs of rural left-behind children’s emotional management areunderstood.Guided by emotional ABC theory and social learning theory,combined with the concept and theory of emotional management,the team’s work plan was designed,and 7 group activities were organized to intervene in the emotional management of left-behind children.At the end of each group,the workers conduct group questionnaires and interviews,conduct process evaluations of the group,and use the quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate the results of the group after the activity.The research results show that the theory and management skills of emotional management can be understood and mastered in childhood.Social workers use group method to intervene in the emotional management of rural left-behind children,and the emotional state of the client has improved.In addition,the emotional management of left-behind children needs all aspects of attention.The local social workers in the local government guide the children’s emotions,and the school strengthens the publicity of mental health education and emotional management.Because the research sample size is too small,there may be deviations in screening target service objects.The author finally carried out research reflections,including limited service object screening,lack of experience,and incomplete resource utilization. |
