In recent years,with the rapid development and expansion of postgraduate education in China,the problem of training quality has become increasingly prominent.There are many factors that influence the quality of postgraduate education,and the ability of tutors is undoubtedly the key factor.Therefore,it is an important subject of postgraduate education management to strengthen the ability construction of tutors and establish a scientific and systematic evaluation index system of guiding ability.In this paper,the construction of graduate mentors guidance ability evaluation index system as the research topic,first of all,the use of literature method,behavior event interview method,summed up the impact of mentors guidance ability of the constituent elements;Secondly,the importance of the evaluation index of mentor guidance ability is investigated and analyzed by questionnaire,and the moral behavior ability,academic scientific research ability and academic guidance ability are determined.Teaching guidance ability and management communication ability 5 first-level indicators and 22 specific evaluation indicators;Thirdly,the evaluation system of guiding ability is constructed by using Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process to calculate the value and weight of the index.Finally,an empirical study is conducted with H University as an example.According to the data analysis,the level of guidance ability of graduate students in H university is at a “better” level,and there is a general lack of guidance time and energy,and scientific research guidance.The problem is not strong,the lack of systematic guidance for research methods,the weak ability of practical guidance,and the inconspicuous demonstration effect.Based on the evaluation results and problems,some suggestions for further improving the guidance ability of graduate tutors are proposed,such as strengthening the consciousness of the “first responsible person” of the tutor,strengthening the construction of the teacher's morality,establishing a normal training mechanism for the tutor,and improving the scientific research level of the tutor.Guide the ability,improve the evaluation system of the instructor,etc.
