Reading occupies an important position in Chinese teaching, and it is an important task for Chinese teaching to cultivate students ’independent reading ability. The self-reading ability of high school students refers to the independent determination of reading goals by high school students before reading activities, the independent formulation of reading plans, the independent selection of reading content, and the independent selection of reading strategies; In reading activities,self-control reading progress,self-monitoring of the reading process,self-feedback reading situation and self-adjustment;After reading activities, objectively and autonomously evaluate the entire independent reading process and be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses in it.Autonomous reading ability is a comprehensive ability. It is composed of autonomous reading ability, autonomous understanding ability, autonomous appreciation ability, autonomous expansion ability and independent creation ability. This five elements are important components of autonomous reading ability and are indispensable. The independent reading ability has the characteristics of subjectivity,motility,self-discipline and communicative nature. These four characteristics are not only independent but also affect each other. In the survey,it was found that although the current high school students already have the psychological basis for independent reading and sufficient knowledge reserves, due to the long-term influence of the teaching method of "teacher transmission",students are more dependent on teachers and learning is relatively passive. The consciousness of independent reading is relatively weak, and the ability to independently interpret the text is relatively poor. There is a lack of clarity in the independent reading goals of senior high school students, and they can not set different independent reading goals according to different styles. The independent reading method chosen is not appropriate enough, and the reading method chosen is relatively single; The selected self-reading content is not specific enough, and it focuses on choosing reading materials that are more entertaining; For the independent reading process monitoring is not in place, will not use theadjustment strategy to adjust their reading speed and reading efficiency; The evaluation of the results of autonomous reading is not accurate enough and there is a lack of self-evaluation.The main reasons for these problems are the lack of independent reading knowledge of high school students; The influence of exam-oriented education system in college entrance examination; The society as a whole is affected by the reading environment of electronic reading and fragmented reading. In specific language teaching,it is possible to stimulate the independent reading interest of high school students, create a pleasant reading environment for high school students, carry out various reading activities, and improve the efficiency of independent reading;Guide independent reading methods, such as reading, silent reading, intensive reading, skimming, quick reading, etc.Cultivate the habit of self-reading,such as the habit of self-study,the habit of self-planning,the habit of writing reading notes when reading independently, the habit of independent thinking, and the habit of using reference books;Actively build the self-reading learning model, define the goal of self-reading,perceive the content of the text as a whole, read and appreciate important paragraphs, expand the content of the article, and summarize and reflect on the reading results;Establish the independent reading evaluation mechanism, advocate the diversity of evaluation subjects and choose appropriate evaluation methods to cultivate the independent reading ability of high school students.
