In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,the use of media has always been controversial,and has also become the object of many scholars' research.Based on the author's teaching practice in Thailand,through questionnaire,classroom observation,interview and other methods,this paper makes a survey of the Chinese teaching scholars in Thailand and some students of the primary school in the North Thabu prefecture where the author is located.This paper probes into the frequency and method of the use of media in Chinese classroom teaching,and carries on the video transfer to the classroom teaching in order to explore the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the medium language,and puts forward some practical suggestions on the use of the medium language and the allocation of the teachers in the primary school,with the aim of exploring the advantages and disadvantages of the medium language use.In order to achieve better teaching results.In order to investigate the use of media in Chinese classroom teaching,the author first conducts a questionnaire survey on students and teachers,and carries on statistics and analysis.In the part of questionnaire,students' different attitudes towards English and Chinese are investigated.In the students' view,teachers' frequency of using media language and students' attitude towards teachers' use of English medium language are also discussed.The results show that the use of teaching media is an important part of Chinese classroom when the students' Chinese proficiency is not high,and the students have no objection to the teacher's use of media language.The part of teacher questionnaire is distributed in the form of networkquestionnaire.The Chinese teachers who work in Thailand are investigated randomly,the language ability of teachers,the use of media in classroom and the attitude towards the use of media are investigated.The results show that most teachers do not have the ability to speak Thai and use English-Thai mixed media in class.As to the attitude of the media,they think that the function of the Thai medium is higher than that of the English medium.They also suggest that media should not be used in phonetics teaching.Secondly,through the video analysis of the real classroom and classroom observation,the author further determined that for the primary school students,their English and Chinese are not good,and the use of Thai media language is more effective than the use of English media language.Finally,the author discusses the positive and negative effects of the use of media,and on the basis of questionnaires and classroom cases,puts forward some suggestions on the use of media and the principles of use.The proper use of media is beneficial to Chinese classroom,which not only can effectively organize classroom teaching and establish a good classroom order,but also can close the relationship between teachers and students and alleviate students' anxiety.It can also enrich teaching forms,enhance students' interest in learning,and improve classroom efficiency.However,excessive use of media language will make students rely on media language,which is not conducive to the establishment of Chinese learning environment,and it is also easy for students to have negative transfer.So in the media,Teachers should pay attention to the validity,correctness and necessity of the use of media in the process of using interlanguage.Since the research in this paper is mainly focused on a district in Thailand,there are some deficiencies in the survey results.However,the author hopes to collect these data and suggestions can provide some help to the development of TCFL.
