From the perspective of activities,playfulness is the criterion for judging whether an activity has the characteristics of game activities.From the individual point of view,playfulness is a kind of active development state of the individual in terms of cognition,emotion and sociality.As one of the kindergarten activity areas,the art area activities are intrinsically related to the children's playfulness performance,the game is the basic activity of the kindergarten,the activities of the children's art area should reflect the playfulness,Kindergartens take games as their basic activities.Art Zone activities should embody the playfulness,it can promote the development of children's playfulness.This study attempts to study the overall characteristics of the playfulness performance of the middle school children in the art area activities,gender differences and the differences in the playfulness performance of different types of activities in the art area,and to find out the factors affecting the playfulness performance in the activities of the middle school children's art area.In order to provide improved strategies for the playfulness enhancement of art activities,so as to promote the healthy development of children's body and mind.This study mainly uses literature,observation,interview,case analysis and measurement methods to study,using the revised Playfulness Scale for Middle School Children's Art Area Activities for 90 middle school children in G City QF Kindergarten,in the art area activities,the playfulness performance is graded,and the special situation and dialogue content are recorded in the form of words to form a case set.The collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 20.0,and the analysis results were presented in the form of a graph.From the perspective of the present situation of the playfulness performance in the activities of middle-class children's art zones,the children in the art zones get better development in cognitive,emotional,social and other aspects,and their personality characteristics can also be better displayed;Children's "cognitive spontaneity" dimension had the highest level of play performance,while the "sense of humour" dimension had the lowest level of playfulness,and there was a high correlation among the dimensions.Wardle(1991)found that young boys like to play with drag toys,building blocks and wheeled toys on the floor,while girls like to paint,puzzle and play with dolls on the table;This study found that girls had a higher level of play performance than boys in the process of activities in art zones;besides the big gap between boys and girls in the dimension of "sense of humour",there was a smaller gap between boys and girls in physical,social,cognitive spontaneity and pleasant play performance.There are significant differences in children's playfulness among different types of activities,and the materials of artistic area are the important factors affecting children's playfulness performance;Painting activities playfulness is not prominent,boys playfulness level is higher than girls;manual activities playfulness is balanced,girls playfulness level is higher than boys;appreciation activities children playfulness fluctuates greatly,boys and girls playfulness shows different characteristics.According to the discussion content,the conclusions can be drawn as follows: 1.The playfulness of middle-class children in art district activities is generally at the upper middle level,and there is a significant positive correlation among the dimensions.2.Girls' playfulness level in middle-class children's art work area activities is higher than boys' and there is a significant difference in the dimension of “sense of humor”,but there is no significant difference in the gender of body,“cognition spontaneity”,“social spontaneity” and “obvious pleasure”.3.There are significant differences among the three types of activities: painting,handicraft and appreciation,Different types of activities have a prominent influence on children's playfulness.According to the characteristics of children's playfulness level and observation cases,the research found that the factors affecting children's playfulness performance are mainly the environmental creation of art areas: including activity materials,activity space,activity atmosphere;Teacher guidance: including the subject content,time,order;The difficulty of the art area activities and the children's own ability.To this end,it is proposed to create a good artistic environment and give children play experience,including putting in multi-level materials,breaking the established activity space and creating a relaxed mental environment;changing the phenomenon of teachers' high control and allowing children to develop freely,including observing children's activities,following children,emphasizing equal interaction between teachers and children;following the law of children's physical and mental development,properly carrying out activities in artistic areas for children.It includes paying attention to the physical and mental characteristics of middle-class children,giving them proper tasks of activities,and making educational suggestions to control the difficulty of activities properly according to the ability of middle-class children.
