Since the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,self-confidence of Chinese cultural has been elevated to a new height.National policies,the film and television variety show,mass media and traditional festivals have given great support and positive promotion to China's excellent traditional culture from different levels.There are many resources in China's ancient and modern excellent literature that containing geographical knowledge,such as Chinese classical literature,modern literature.That including poetry,proverbs,prose,novels,drama and so on.If we use scientific theories and methods to summarize and organize them,it is conducive to the realization of the new curriculum standard for junior high school in compulsory education.Applying Chinese excellent culture to geography teaching to helps student to establish the connection between disciplines,and trains students to learn outstanding cultural works with a geographical perspective.At the same time,it also guides students to excavate geographical knowledge from ancient poetry,making it a new age youth with comprehensive thinking and geographical understanding,inheriting and carrying forward China's excellent traditional culture.Up to now,there have been very few studies on the application of poetry and proverbs in geography teaching in junior high school.The selection principles,standards and application principles of poetry and proverbs as geography teaching carriers have not to be further explored and studied.I will discuss and study these issues in close proximity to the junior high school geography classroom.This paper mainly describes the application of poems and proverbs in junior middle school geography teaching from five aspects.The first part is the introduction,which describes the background,purpose and significance of the research,lists the general situation of the related research on the application of poetry and proverbs in geography teaching,describes the research route of this paper,and introduces the main research methods used in the writing process of this paper.The second part is the definition of related concepts and theoretical basis,explaining the two most frequently used nouns “poetry and proverb”and “teaching carrier”,elaborating thetheoretical basis of the application of poetry and proverb in junior high school geography teaching,providing theoretical support for the writing of this article.The third part is the screening conditions,application classification and application methods of poems and proverbs.The fourth part is the questionnaire survey and application cases of poems and proverbs in junior middle school geography teaching.The last part is the conclusions and suggestions,shortcomings,summarizes the relevant views of this article,but also elaborated in the future study needs to focus on the direction of breakthroughs.This paper focuses on the selection,application methods and specific application cases of poems and proverbs in junior high school geography teaching.By elaborating the method of choosing poems and proverbs,classifying the application of poems and proverbs and designing specific teaching cases in the teaching process,the author hopes to provide teaching cases that can be used for reference in the teaching of geography knowledge in junior middle schools,to increase teaching means and methods,and ultimately to make the teaching of Geography in junior middle schools easier,and make geography knowledge easy for students to accept and understand.The innovation of this research is based on the junior high school geography classroom to carry out the practical teaching of poetry and proverbs applied to junior high school geography teaching.The poetry slang is applied to the practical teaching of geography teaching in junior high school.Although the final research results are not very significant,on the whole,students have made some progress in geography learning interest,geographic achievements,and mastery of poetry and slang.In general,the application of poetry and proverbs in the geography classroom is in line with the trend of the new curriculum reform,that meets the requirements of the new curriculum standards,and promotes the cultivation of students' core literacy.
