Based on the current dilemma of composition teaching and the background of a set of textbooks nationwide,this study attempts to introduce advanced foreign teaching concepts Whole Language,adopting innovative methods of collaborative research between universities and grassroots schools to let the school-based composition curriculum developped.The whole research was carried out in Shanghai P Primary School which is the practice of field,starting from the investigation of the current situation of primary school students’ writing,to meet the students’ needs.And based on the compilation,selection and optimization of the topic of the exercises in the Chinese textbooks prepared by the Ministry of Education,the members of the research team incorporate into the list of exercises,mind maps,cooperative learning and other elements to organize the teaching materials for students to study writing.And at the same time,the researchers carry out designing the curriculum,and finally establish the school-based composition curriculum development plan which is applicable to Shanghai P primary school in the repeated implementation and reflection of the curriculum.This thesis consists of five parts.The first part mainly summarizes the research origin and significance,research purposes and problems,research objects and core concepts,research ideas and methods,and literature review at home and abroad,further clarifying the direction of research.The second part expounds the theoretical basis of this research from three aspects:the whole language view review,writing learning psychology and school-based curriculum development principles.The third part is the investigation of the current situation of teaching and learning in composition.It mainly describes the design ideas,operation process and analysis of the survey data using the survey method,in order to understand the current situation of the teaching and learning in composition and the students’ difficulties and learning needs through actual investigation and for a more realistic basis for the follow-up study.The Next part expounds the development plan of the composition curriculum of P primary school from the background of development and the process of research,the objectives and contents of the course,and the implementation of the course.The fifth part provides the implementation of the school-based composition course,summarizes the development experience,and elaborates the development reflectionOn the one hand,this study has successfully explored the implementation path of complementary teaching textbooks and school-based textbooks and the localized practice path of the whole language concept,which has certain academic value.On the other hand,it also provides a breakthrough for the existing composition teaching.The new ideas provide an example for the school to develop school-based composition courses,which has certain practical significanceThe innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in the content innovation and the innovation of research methods.The former is the innovation practice of the whole language view of the international advanced teaching concept,and the latter is the cooperative research of universities and grassroots schools.
