Research On The Construction Of Junior Middle School Career Education Model In Taiwan | | Posted on:2020-08-22 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:L D Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2417330596467971 | Subject:International and Comparative Education | | Abstract/Summary: | | | The author’s fascination with career choices has given birth to a desire for career education and research enthusiasm.After reading the relevant literature,it is found that countries represented by the United States,Britain and Japan have already established a systematic and distinctive career education system in the basic education stage.The Taiwan region with water and clothing has a close cultural tradition with the mainland,and its life education experience in the basic education stage is rich.However,China’s mainland region has not yet officially reviewed career education in the basic education stage.This essay focuses on the current situation of junior high school career development education in Taiwan.It includes 130 career development education into the curriculum design,12 school annual career development education plans,8 checklists and 12 A career development education achievement showcases text analysis and comparative research of the three junior high schools in New Taipei City-----A,B and C.The present study shapes the model of the career development education in Taiwan’s junior high schools and their characteristics,focusing on the limited factors of junior high school career development education through the main links between the three schools.From the literature review and the students’ interviews of the three schools in New Taipei City,it emerged that Taiwan’s junior high school career development education is based on three levels of career development ability indicators of "self-awareness,career awareness,career exploration and choice".As regards the career development model,the three main aspects include curriculum integration,technical visitation skills education and school counseling system with their own characteristics.The ability index-oriented curriculum incorporates the disciplinary orientation,while the characteristics of the subject group and the level of career ability are different.This directly affects the specific strategies for integrating career development education into subject teaching.The technical visits and technical education aiming at “multiple enrollment and appropriate development” take care of the needs of different career choice groups,conduct professional trials and better complete the connection between junior high school and technical high school.The counseling activities backed by multiparty resources and multi-dimensional support are the soil for junior high school career development education.The comparative analysis of the three schools revealed that the school’s career development awareness(or foothold)restricts the curriculum design and activities,and the school’s access to resource richness affects the level of detail and ability level of career activities.Taking Gottfredson’s career aspiration theory and career construction theory as a perspective,the starting point of Taiwan’s junior high school career education should be to experience interest rather than determine interest,and to construct career adaptability instead of rushing to determine career direction.In the selfconcept clearing,the gender type should not be treated as an auxiliary content. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Taiwan, junior high school, career education, model construction | | Related items |
