For the sake of national rejuvenation,the country has attached great importance to the inheritance of excellent traditional culture in recent years.Therefore,schools also need to optimize traditional cultural education for the purpose of inheriting excellent traditional culture and promoting national rejuvenation.The school has indeed made a lot of efforts in traditional cultural education,but there are still many problems that need to be improved.From the perspective of the curriculum objectives,the current traditional cultural education is committed to coping with examinations,focusing on the indoctrination of knowledge,but despising the teaching of the spirit of traditional culture.The content of education is not systematic and holistic.The teaching methods are relatively backward,and it is difficult to convey the unique charm of traditional culture to students.In order to solve these problems and improve the quality of traditional culture education,I chose Qian Mu,an excellent traditional culture teacher who is well-known both at home and abroad but often overlooked by the curriculum theory.The paper uses the literature research method to sort out Qian Mu’s traditional cultural education career,summarize his educational ideals,and then analyze Qian Mu’s traditional cultural education practice from the dimensions of curriculum design and teaching practice. Using the interview method to collect problems in the traditional culture education of the school,and then try to help them solve these problems from Qian Mu’s traditional cultural education experience.After investigation and analysis,the paper draws the following conclusions:First,since Qian Mu began to serve as a rural primary school teacher at the age of 18,he has decided to pass on traditional culture through traditional cultural education.It was not until 1990 that he died at the age of 95 that his traditional cultural education efforts were terminated.He never gave up traditional culture education to inherit the country’s excellent culture and promote national rejuvenation.Second,Qian Mu has designed many excellent traditional culture courses,which can be divided into three parts: course objectives,course content and teaching methods. On the basis of fully considering the needs of student development and national revitalization,Qian Mu determined that the goal of his traditional culture curriculum should be to let students “learn to be human” and “learn to be Chinese”.In the preparation of the course content,Qian Mu pays great attention to the integration of content in various fields and the interaction between traditional cultural content and reality.In terms of teaching methods,Qian Mu has flexibly used a variety of methods and urged students to promote learning through research.Third,Qian Mu’s thoughts and practices can bring much enlightenment to the current traditional culture education. First of all,teachers should understand the importance of traditional cultural education like Qian Mu,enhance their traditional cultural education ability. Secondly,when setting the goal of traditional culture curriculum,we should base on the needs of both student development and national revitalization,and consider what kind of practical help can be brought about by traditional cultural education. Third,the selection and arrangement of course content should reflect the integration of disciplines and be able to connect with reality. The use of teaching methods should not be limited to classroom teaching,and multiple methods should be used flexibly according to actual needs. At the same time,students can learn the traditional culture in depth through the research of the subject.
