Shadow education,as the "shadow" of the mainstream education in schools,is closely related to the mainstream education as its name implies.Shadow education has a tremendous impact in today's education field.The original purpose of shadow education is to "cultivate students' excellence and make up for their deficiencies" and relieve the pressure of parents to guide their children's learning,so it is highly sought after by parents.With the development of shadow education into a system,the content of shadow education has become more extensive.In addition to improving children's performance,shadow education cultivates children's abilities in all aspects,and transforms children's potential into future capital.Compared with rural areas,urban families have more opportunities and conditions from the beginning.With the popularity of the concept of investment in education,parents' attention in cities is deeply attracted by shadow education,and more and more investment in shadow education.Practice has proved that investment in shadow education can bring certain benefits and effects to children and parents.However,there are many problems in the process of family investment in shadow education,so it is particularly important to guide parents how to invest in shadow education scientifically and reasonably.This paper takes X School in Changsha City as the research object,and through investigation and interview,understands the situation of urban families' in Changsha investment in shadow education.This study uses SPSS21.0 statistical methodto analyze from four dimensions: parents' expectations,attitudes,requirements and effect evaluation.Finding there are some problems in the process of investment like,the purpose id materialistic,the input content is unreasonable,the amount of input is too high and the results have deviation.Combined with the interview results,this paper analyzed these problems and effecting factors of shadow education investment in urban families.The results show that the participation rate of students in shadow education is very high nowadays,and urban families' shadow investment accounts for a large proportion of household expenditure.Children do have a lot of gains after participating in shadow education,but it also causes children and parents to become more stressed and burdened.The results of one-way variance and independent sample T-test show that children's grade,family income level,parents' education level,parents' psychological factors,the evaluation of shadow education effect and some environmental factors have significant influence on the investment of family shadow education amount.Therefore,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions on these influencing factors: first,for families,second,for schools,third,for the government,and fourth,for training institutions.
